My main weapons are the bow and the shoulder cannon but will have a combi stick for when I can throw it. It’s weird there is so many melee weapons when it’s a hunting game not a fighting game.
Is there a balance issue
I haven’t been able to catch their livestreams as its a different time zone for me, but will try and catch a few for more info on how they balance it.
I’m confused. Was there ever a time when the game wasn’t FT Hunting Grounds?
Be nice to have more than one type of bow.
Maybe a heavy and a light? Or maybe some types of arrows to choose from
A few times but very few and far between, was changed almost immediately though from what I remember. Been out of the game for 8 months so no idea why FT are more unstoppable now than ever it feels.
Just being able to fire 2 arrows one after the other after charging would be good
Let’s go over some of the basics.
Fireteam has access to, in no particular order
A Sniper Rifle which kills in 5 body shots regardless of the Class with the only Class naturally able to survive more than 5 being Mr Black who was JUST added and is likely to get nerfed in one way or another in a couple of months.
A wallhack ability which reveals the Predator’s exact location for as long as 9 seconds in which time you can see them through walls & cloak regardless of distance AND depending on Specialization either applies a 10% speed debuff to them or makes them take 15% more damage.
The ability to solo kill Predators in 2-3 seconds with a PISTOL at point blank range in a game where up to 4 people can be firing on them at the same time, WITHOUT damage buffs. Speaking of.
Certain classes such as Assault; Scout, Dutch, etc can Damage Stack and buff their Damage output by anything from 20% to 50% based on their Perks & Specs & possibly team comp. Keep in mind, the game is currently balanced in a way that only 1 out of 4 FT players is needed to kill a Pred in seconds, so guess how that ends up.
Oh and then there’s Field Medic which makes getting Kills even harder because they can rush over to a downed player and revive them in a flat 1 second, 0.8 with Dexterous equipped.
And adding on to that they added Bots to FT which have 100% Auto-Aim in a game with Hitscan weapons in a range of 60 metres whilst uncloaked & 10 metres whilst cloaked and each Bot can be hijaked by a Dead player to revive themselves if they do get killed, thus skipping the entire Reinforcement mechanic.

don’t forget you can get up to 40-50% dmg reduction as fireteam too
Damage is stupidly broken on both sides. Is way too much and becomes a game of luck.
Problem is, if you lower the damage, then FT can just finish the stupid mission in 3 minutes and exfil, so they win no matter what.
In public matches, if you are a decent player, you will more often win as Pred than as FT (if playing solo). Because the power of FT relies on their firepower, but most potatoes don’t even know how to press the fire button. Right now the game is not balanced for 1v1, so you will likely die to any decent pred in any 1v1 scenario where no one is helping you.
That’s insane, cheers for taking the time to write all that out. Seems I’m best sticking to the long range and keeping out of sight as much as possible.
That’s… how we’ve been forced to play for basically all of 2021. It was even worse when Fireteam has Specializations & Predators didn’t. Just gotta stack as much Ranged damage as you possibly can and get REALLY good with the Smart Disc & Plasma Caster.
I’m definitely a long range predator but feels like fireteam finish their tasks too quickly for me, so maybe need to try and pressure them harder.

Honestly that plasma caster is my favourite weapon, early game I barely used it at all. The pistol isn’t half bad, never gave that one a chance.
Is that reduction per player or as a complete unit ?

Can be both. Dante for example has 160 Base Health, the MOST ranged damage you can do is like 158 per hit with the Smart Disc but that requires Stalker or Analytic WITH Down Ranged. But he can equip Thick Skin to put his HP up to 185. And then also equip OWLF Trained to take 10% less damage from the Predator… BUT he also already takes 20% less damage from everything WHILST Sprinting. And if he’s within 20 metres of a Support, he gets another 20% defence buff. Which means he can resist 50% of every attack a Predator does whilst sprinting… OH and he has Field Medic.
Guess who is basically in “Banned” status amongst the Top 10%. Outright considered Pay To Win. He’s never been nerfed.
Well that explains a fucking lot cheers. Seems I better start making a good scout build as no point in getting close enough to melee ever.
