I can answer that as a snake keeper - snakes are cold blodded, yes, and that means they need to get warm from sunlight in order to be able to function, hunt etc. During day time hours, after sunbathing, snakes are warmer than humans ;-)

This last part is actually a very valid point that we all do our best to just not think about because like, after so many times of seeing their Thermal. Hell even their Natural Red vision. How in the LIVING FUCK do they move around without stumbling over everything or into something? Personally I like to headcanon that the “Human/Normal” vision we get to use in all of the games is actually a real Vision mode they have just for ya know, not fucking being a clutz.

I dint have a good answer. The tress are there but he’s still coming with no cover so maybe he’s being cautious and taking it slow, without rash movements. I looks like they tried to recreate the trap scene from OG movie. JH could clearly see them sitting in cover but still went on foot to stab Dutch (supposedly). I think there was a clearing and they pulled down some trees to make it more difficult for him to make jumps. Here, the trees had no cover and had only a few branches so maybe they were not as reliable and still left him exposed.
Guys, this way or another, this movie offers the best depiction of predkour so far.

They can still see basic outlines, in fact you could see Durch’s outline in predator, I imagine their brains are adapted to eyeing these lines.
Not to mention we’re seeing 2D heat vision. 3D heat vision would be a lot easier do to depth.

I have an issue with the returning-axe rope. the natives have spears, bow and arrow, so far everything is based in reality, then suddenly she ties a rope to her axe and channels Kratos from God of War.
You wanna know my few issues with the film?
No skinned bodies hanging from trees? Can’t believe we missed the chance to spook both French and Comanche sides of finding their fellows hanging dead and skinless from the tree branches. Haven’t had a good skinned bodies scene since AVPR, and that scene didn’t make sense for the Predator’s main motive in that film!
Not enough skull claiming moments. Both first films had those moments of the Predator admiring or cleaning the latest kill. It’s a hunt right, so I expect just a few more scenes of the newly acquired human skulls alongside the bear skull Feral claimed earlier. Which goes in line with the next part of my issue…
Feral making it more personal by having Tarbe’s skull on his waist that Naru sees in the final battle. It adds a whole lot more punch into what became a trial of worth into a true vengeance hunt, which compliments to the vengeance she took on the French man that cut Tarbe.
I wish they didn’t kill Raphael Adolini like that. I was hoping that he would survive and show up in the sequel as a pirate. I mean the set up is perfect right there, a missing leg that soon becomes a PEG LEG when he becomes a pirate?! Since he wasn’t a threat, he escapes unharmed with all the riches leftover from his trapper crew and decides to hit the 7 seas as a rogue. Remembers Naru that helped save him and soon becomes a useful ally in the next film. It didn’t have to follow the comic to a perfect T, just take inspiration for it to make something cool. Like a pirate-Comanche alliance to fight the next Predator or something, seeing that more are coming. We could have had more sweet things but what is done is done…
Not much in the end, but damm these little things could have been something better! Oh well, can’t wait to see the next film!
Dis anyone else find it odd that after being impaled by the bear trap she was syill able to do all that ahe did when really she wouldn’t even be able to walk after that? That was a plot armor moment and ao far the only one after watching it once

That will never happen since the predator thing to do now is chanhe up the predator with each passing movie taking it further away from the OG design. So they wouldn’t make a movie based on the elder because the predator design needs to be modernized according to all new film makers

My theory always was he used that mask like a laughing gas thing they have at hospitals which would make sense due to him being shot like you said.
