It takes some balls to come up with a big decision such as canceling a release, of anything.
As much as we may hate it, illfonic has made a bad name of themselves with this game. Is not their fault, honestly. They are understaffed and underpaid. Making and maintaining a video games takes a huge amount of personnel. Even big companies such as Google have pulled the plug on their game developing endeavors after failing to acquire all the talent needed in order to even start working on any project and spending millions trying to get it started, not to mention they weren’t anticipating the time it would take to begin making profits from a game.
Had they released yet another update, not thoroughly tested, full of game breaking bugs, etc. the backlash would have been even worse (remember what happened when Cyberpunk was released months ago?) than what they got.
It took some balls to delay the update, but if it was because it wasn’t ready and tested, is okay. They took the right decision.
