I mean don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that being fan of some actor or their movie makes them bad people, but when they justify certain actions from some actors, that is where problem is starting. For example Michael Jackson is well known creep and pedophile, but I don’t love Michael Jackson because he is pedophile, I simply love him because of his songs, since he is King of Pop. But those guys are literally justifying Clint Eastwood’s kissing girl. That is problem, not the problem loving Clint Eastwood and his good Western movies. Pedophilia is sexual attraction to pre-pubescent children, not simply anyone under age.
Sex with any minor that has reached puberty is called statutory rape, because legally it is understood that a minor is not capable of taking that decision by themselves, or don’t have the mental/sexual maturity to do so.
Both are fucked up things, but they are not the same thing.
Same thing with people throwing around the word racism, when in reality the behavior they are referring to is xenophobia or classism.
And mind you, I like to make the distinction because as fucked up as both things may be, a 25 year old adult having sex with a 15 year old, while illegal, is nowhere near as fucked up as a 17 year old having sex with a 7 year old, despite both having the exact same age difference and in the case of the 17/7 year olds, BOTH are minors.
