Somebody here asked me for video proof. Can’t find the post so, here’s the video proof
Last Man Standing - Mudding Up and Ice Cold doesn't help much
Man… at least timestamp this shit :P
I assume this is the moment that matters?
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/729853711?t=0h4m43s
there were a few tests
c’mon man… you also gonna join the whinning club? :P
stop complaining
I hold you guys to a higher standard :)
Your testing sucks. :P
You didn’t even test before and after last man standing.
Ice Cold also never stacked with mudding before.
Where’s your methodical approach? This was all over the place.
@Quadraxis oh my lord, your Predator… LOL.
“What’s the button again?” :D :D :D ROFL
the main test here was mudding up while being last man standing. it doesn’t help. someone here said FT was invisible like normal mudding up. Clearly was wrong. Asked for video proof. So here it is.
Now shhhh… go away
See, we don’t even have this context!
Only the random unnamed unknown person would even know what you were answering.
That information needed to be in the OP ;)
<3
IT’S IN THE FREAKING TOPIC YOU ASSHOLE
LMFAO
:D :D :D
Are you kidding? Ice cold after buff makes you hard to see from a distance even when not mudded 😂
Almost impossible to see when standing still and mudded in thermal
did you see the video?
What Jelou said, did you watch the video?
Like… I was giving him shit, but his point is pretty self evident.
While in Last Man Standing mode, these things don’t help much.
Target Isolation will never work with mud applied. So it’s still useful to apply mud during Last Man (or at least splash half a mud on your face.)
You would need to formally test target Iso Cold Blood+Last Man–No Mud.
Cold Blood is still applying during Last Man standing based on the dude’s head temp. He’s running a little cooler.
Next: Body temp IS affected by stamina usage and tends to spike if the FT runs to exhaustion with a slow transition back to normal body temp.
Why does that matter? Because of temperature transitions. MUD initial and Mud+time have different values. You’ll notice later in the video he’s running colder than when he just mudded up from Last Man.
Finally: This is all before the recon is further breaking up the silhouette with bush diving.
Addendum: This is also somewhat dependent on cosmetic options as different camo patterns have different effects on thermal. Same goes for headwear.
Extra Credit: I’ve noticed some strange interactions with Cold Blood and Observant, but I’ve yet to formally test it.
this is very interesting. some people told me “hostile camo” somewhat distorted thermal vision, while others said it was bullshit. I barely play Pred so is pretty foreign for me to assess such details.
Mudding doesn’t mean shit when you’re last man and target iso finds them, it’s to put an end to the fucking assclowns that camp the edge of the map mudding up the entire round just to avoid the predator though we didnt test it with ice cold as of yet I almost think it would be the same case I will find out later on with a friend or 3
This is 100% false. Even a glance at the video they posted proves as much. lol
Nope I’ve seen it more then once it’s not false I’ll get screenshot proof with schoolboy skeptic today just to show you
Bear with me as I try to describe exactly how hostile camo works.
The devs appear to have designed it to work like radiator panels. Black sections are ‘dark’ and ‘red’ sections are warmer than standard camo patterns. The result is that it breaks up the normally uniform thermal profile you see on a standard fireteam.
Yeah. I just played another game. Mud, as always, stops thermal even with Last Man Standing.
And yeah I’ll be showing you multiple times that you’re wrong fuck off already
