Latest patch has made me into a better Predator

I used to be a super aggressive predator that would be able to end matches very quickly with my bow. I didn’t have to be careful or plan my attacks too much. I could jump right into the middle of most fireteams without worrying about getting killed because their damage output wasn’t that great.

After this latest patch, I tried to play aggressively but I would end up losing to average skilled fireteams. Even noobish fireteams were beginning to pose a challenge to me as their damage output was buffed.

After a lot of trial and error, I changed up my loadout and playstyle to fight these buffed fireteams. I have found myself using traps instead of motion detectors now. I try to keep my distance from fireteams and I use my cloak to my advantage. I don’t bunny hop around fireteams anymore either.

The point of this post is to say that this patch isn’t as game-breaking as most people assumed in the beginning. Predator players that are losing more often now just have to adapt and make some changes to their playstyle or loadout if they want to win.

Also, melee weapons are still trash.

THANK YOU!

That’s exactly what pred mains need to do instead of complaining lol

The PDZ sub machine gun makes any close range engagement over 4 seconds lethal.

Yeah and there’s no point in trying to melee anyone either because everyone knows how to parry now.

I was just honestly surprised they turned the worst weapon in the game to one of the best all of the sudden.

Illfonic probably did that to give noobs a fighting chance.

You can still melee, just in a very hit and run fashion. Scout hit and run melee is the new meta.

True, I meant there’s no point in doing consecutive melee attacks or combos.

Scout doesn’t have enough health for me, I prefer the City Hunter.

It has been months since I played Scout. And I destroy every scout I see as FT.

I’ve run into a few good Scouts when I played as fireteam. There’s kinda no point in playing as Scout, the Elder predator is basically the improved version of the Scout.

and even range is not good against premade, one on a roof and its over, serious stuff need to be nerfed/re work next time as the far FT have in general the advantage

I disagree, I’d say range is the only viable option against premades or any good fireteams.

I’ve played against some pretty good fireteams and the bow is my main weapon. There are youtubers that play against Premades and they also use ranged attacks to win. Check out Shifologist and Bloodthirstylord.

Also, I play on PS4.

bloodthirsty is overrated and i’m on shifo discord and we share the same thougth XDDD, if you can put crossplay on and go play against pc oif that not already down the difference is huge.

i play bow, plasma caster and elder sword on city hunter with down range, large pouch and the perk that allow you to see FT footprint

Yeah 4 FT god players will probably beat 1 god predator more than half of the time. It is just not balanced in a way for Predator to be competitive in that scenario.

I don’t know what you’re trying to say. If not ranged attacks then are you suggesting that predators go in and melee everyone?

I used to turn crossplay on and I have beat a few 4 PC player teams but I don’t know if they were premade.

wait oh sorry nono i have poorly written, what i meant by that is at some point you just can’t do anything against god tier premade fireteam that will outrange you, outplay you and deal tremendous damage, playing range IS you’r best option but that about it as you will never be able to reach them for the finishing blow i can assure you that.

what i wanted to say as i higher level the fireteam premade are basicly nearly invincible, they deal so much damage that they start to chase you down, runing as fast you and easly putting pred down without breaking a sweat.

So what you’re saying is

Oh okay. Yeah, it would definitely be a challenge to face a team like that. I’ve went up against PC teams like that and lost because I couldn’t even get close to them without take a lot of damage.

That’s kinda the reason I turned off crossplay. I’d rather face a tough PS4 team than a tough PC team.

Shifologist does have videos where he beats these godlike Russian teams so it’s not impossible to win against them.
