True! And I hope, we all agree to that it should be the very top priority to remove these bugs for Illfonic. This automatically will help to improve the balancing too - as we have shown already, that if anybody needs buffing yet, then this might be the predator…

And if Illfonic already is removing said bugs, they immediately after that can start to remove predator specific annoyances - alike getting stuck by smallest stones - for the predator too. Maybe, after that, I will think about playing the predator too:)

But be sure, that will not be the case, before the jumping has been improved (a little more intelligence would be nice here - bumping into a wall, you are standing in front of, is not very intelligent, if you ask me…) and there is a “next weapon” button for the predator too!

Yes. They can increase the base number of fireteam field syrettes and predator medical kits by one.

Some missions may need restructuring, but countdowns on mission elements could be increased by 50% in the meantime. All missions should take at least 5 min if done perfectly with a full squad.

In my opinion they should add 1 objective to all missions (from 3 to 4) and make the missions force you to change village every time. There are some missions that are all in the same area and you can finish them in 3 minites while fighting with the Pred. Also I was thinking more of adding extra hp for ft and for pred. If you wanna add one more syringe to every fireteam , then you have to add also 3 extra medikit for the pred at least.

If they did add more health to the predator, they would also have to add an interruption to quick claiming if the predator takes too much damage. With more health, it would be too easy to dive in for quick claims, especially for berserkers.

with the current damage of fireteam I think even with 500 extra hp a berserker will get melted by 3 fireteamsm, unless they all use shotguns.

Haha, if a team of “you” shoots at him, yeah. Randoms? Remember you’re own vids with randoms and how much damage they do.

Thats because they dont know that I am fighting with the Predator. They should make the Predator easier to see and to hear because console players dont use headset for the most part. Also I mentioned ft health buff too, not only Pred. Pred is garbage right now. Randos will be bad no matter what, they are just bad by default.

Then I will put it differently. The majority of randoms are not going to trigger second wind in a quck claim.

I think that it’s gonna be ok if a zerker can quick claim from full health a ft without using second wind, it’s a berserker not a scout. They can just slower the animation of the quick claim by 0.5/1 second and it’s gonna be fine.

Aha, and then the game is over when its 3? If 3 people can’t wind him, what’s 2 people going to do?

I mean if some one get killed without even deal a bit of damage to the Pred is the fireteam fault. For me the quick claim can even ve removed , if they decrease the health of the downed fireteam and slower the pick up speed.

Berserker is a class that new and bad players use in most cases for the melee rush. Remember at the start before the combistick and berserker nerfs how they would charge in, kill one and claim before leaving. It was a mess. In randoms its not hard to die before doing damage to the pred with melee rushing, more so with how many AIs are in bases and how much damage they do.

That said a good pred is going to range kill anyone. Quick claims are far to risky of a job against any decent team.

Combi stick melee was the issue but they shadow nerfed the combi throw, very vad move by illfonic, now it’s a garbage weapon.

I think one person should be able to defend a downed player from a quick claim.

You’re not wrong. 3 people will melt any predator in the time it takes to quick claim.

Yeah. You have to be ready fight off a predator before they can get the kill, and hopefully the downed player can crawl to cover.

I do not think, any health points have to be increased for a longer mission. As FT you have more than enough medikits, syrettes and self-revive kits - if you choose them.

On a longer mission, the predator would have better chances to attrit the FT step by step - until they do not have any medikit or alike anymore. And even arrow might run into problems, if he is out of medical supplies - against strong predators, right?

The FT then would have to better organize the supplies. This might lead to a match, with different stages. Or, if you wish, to something alike a nerfing the FT with time…

From my POV it does not make any sense to talk about nerfing the firepower on the one hand and buffing the health on the other hand - at the same time. Either you want to improve the chances of the predator - or not:)

In a mission, which just is longer, predators which play less aggressive and more cautious would also have a chance to take down the FT; those predators might not need more health points - as they are more careful with their health.

Longer missions just enables other strategies / tactics. Which would be very nice, if you ask me. And less skilled predator players would have a better chance too - due to time on the one hand and due to less medical supplies in the end on the other hand. The fight at the beginning might favor the FT, the fight at the end then might favor the predator - which is a quite interesting asymmetry:)

I would like, if both cases would be implemented: missions, where you have to stay longer at one point as well as missions, where you have to go to another additional location.

Missions, where you stay longer at one location is more interesting for sniper style on the FT side as well as sneaking around style on the side of the predator. If you have a look at pubs/randoms, both styles do not really exist at the moment. They are not successful here.

Same reason: to diversify the strategies/tactics usable/successful. All that rushing at the moment is fine - but it is just one type of game yet… And this might be getting boring after a while…

I agree with @Xan84 here - you cannot ignore randoms - as they are the MAJORITY. Changes made must first and foremost meet public matches with randoms. Otherwise this game indeed would be dead very soon… Right?

Man,.the fact that this game had no ranked system was the reason why now it is dead. It doesnt need to die, it’s already dead since 2 month ago.

I would like this. Maybe quick claims are even unnecessary for longer matches… For short matches, as they are yet, you would nerf the predator even more with that…

Somehow true. We first and foremost need some matchmaking mechanism which groups “horses” as well as “Ferraris” together…

We already have talked about easy solutions, alike:

  • a selection “easy”, “medium”, “tough” game - so that everyone could choose for his own or
  • something like a “thumbs up” or “hearts” or alike which can be given to each player after the match has finished - as a sign, that playing with him was fun (and a matchmaking, which e.g. tries to group players together, which has given each other these thumbs/hearts already)

Both are simple mechanisms, which should not be to hard to program and would lead to groups of players, which better fit together and hereby to a much more enjoyable game.
