Limit angular velocity and acceleration for mouse to controller levels

With a mouse you can rotate your view much faster than with a controller, nearly instantly.
You can easily see this in game. Mouse users can jump over a target and rotate backwards immediately. A fireteam mouse user can rotate immediately and shoot at the predator.

This is a game changer.

Thus, turning mouse speed could be limited to what is possible with a controller. I mean a hard limit, maximum angular velocity and maximum angular acceleration - no matter the dpi of the mouse.

What do you think?

hinder PC performance instead of improving (or develop) a working aim assist for console…

very stupid idea

why not also limit frame rate on PC to 30 FPS?

That way PC players will stop playing altogether and finally the game is only available for consoles.

I think it could be done and would make the experience fairer… however I think K/M players would lose their collective shit.

I know not all Dpads and PS controllers are made the same, but its safe to say they are generally all similar in range and digital input/output. There is no reason why they can’t make a detection system too where and how many buttons on the controller (as this may vary too). I mean i think generally there are only two types PS and X-box. Thats pretty much standard. To add additional assists would be simple for them if this would actually improve their gameplay to a certain extent but not make it stupid easy.
I think PS players feel they don’t need it, but if its to balance game players you have too many lone PC players taking out the predator or at least doing the most damage however its not always true.

Ultimately its a matter of perspective. Its also needed on other FPS games but i haven’t played many to say for certain if there are assists strictly for controllers.
Remember that PC players have the option to use controllers as well.

Turn off crossplay and play with your fellow PS4 players while PC players play with PC players/Crossplay if it cause u problems?

Problem solved.

Exactly. But turning it off vastly limits your player base. If there were significantly less PS players then turning off crossplay would be very limiting let alone increase their wait times.

I play at PC.

I dislike the different behavior of PC and PS4 players. It feels strange.

You can easily run around or jump over a PS4 player. He cannot hit you while it is very dangerous getting close to a PC player playing with mouse if he knows where you are.

Aim assist does not help regarding this issue. Fighting against/with PC players feels completely different in comparison to PS4 players. I dislike this and that PC players can turn around so quickly while PS4 players cannot.

They have to improve the sensitivity options for controller and improve aim assist , like in call of duty. They shouldn’t absolutly get worse in any way the situation for Pc, it’s a dumb idea.

There are ways around this.

I think RE had a shortcut on the controller that allowed you to “look back” which is much needed on this game

BTW, I play on PC. Played with both controller and mouse. And while yes, aiming with mouse is way easier, aiming with PC is not that difficult either if you are used to it (most console players are). ADS movement on controller is bad, period. But you don’t fix things by breaking it for others. You fix it by FIXING IT.

console players are more than PC, losses are minimal, but comfort

This is true , but most of pc players used to play ft more compared to ps4 players. Now it doesnt matter any more cause the player base is even smaller than at the start. But like 2 months ago I was finding 2/3 pc + 1/2 ps4 in every pubs game as Predator. Now I don’t really know because I play pubs just for few games and not always.

This should be how all “realistic” and/or crossplay games should be. It makes little sense to give soldiers superhuman speed when it comes to moving guns and rotating their bodies. I’m not sure this will ever become the norm, though.

Why handicap pc instead of fixing ps?
Not a single pc player would ever play a cross play game if this was implemented. Assuming it’s an fps. Simply because it removes control from the player and feels really bad.

In this game we are fighting an alien and we are able to survive arrows through the head and katanas through our bodies, so whatever this is supposed to be it’s not realistic.

And if anything it’s more realistic to turn around at different speeds instead of the same speed everytime.

It’s not about handicapping the PC players, it’s about making soldiers move in a similar manner to their real world counterparts. Guns and bodies look weightless on most PC games.

Yes but you know it’s a video game. Allowing that movement speed is what make the capability of skill so high. You have a leaning curve that is higher. You can be 0 or you can be 10000. Making movement equal for every one will delete the skill gap between people. It could be good for a single player but not for a multyplayer game. There is a huge difference between a multyplayer and a single player with campaign. This game must absolutely not be considered and evaluated as if it were a single player.

Having a mechanical advantage is not skill.

I am not talking about difference between mouse and keyboard and pad. I am talking about the design of a shooter game. The speed with which you can turn your visual should be the same for every one. So improving the speed for console should be the choice not making the game wrose for Pc. I think 99,99999% of multyplayer games players would agree with me. No one has ever mentioned to downgrade the aim for pc in any other videogame.

The problem is you can’t control the speed of a mouse on controller, you can however limit a mouse easily.

Nope it’s a dumb idea to make the game worse for a plaform. No one has ever done that shit for a pc videogame. Literally no one, and there is a reason. In COD if you use max sense with the controller you can 720° in half of a second. Just watch some Faze Pamaj or Faze clan trick shots montage in general. Look how they move their visual fast with pad. I was a Cod player on console too and I had no issues with ads speed because I was playing with high sense. Devs have to make the game better for Ps4 not make it worse for Pc, absolutly.
