New Discoveries while Testing

NRV-E

  • Suppressor does not reduce damage
  • projectiles ignore tree branches
  • splash damage starts at 10 damage and is max 35 damage

Isabelle

  • melee damage equal to support
  • 141 Light Attack, 215 Heavy Attack

Dante

  • does not take reduced self damage from NRV-E

Unleashed

  • has no effect on the damage of direct hits or splash damage of NRV-E

Fireteam Melee

  • quick melee attacks while holding your weapon only deal 80% of Light Attack damage

Predator classes

  • Berserker and Viking sustain 10% increased damage from fireteam melee attacks

Thanks for your testing on this. Illfonic should release proper patch notes that indicate changes to balance but I guess they’d rather keep these kind of changes quiet.

I’m by no means certain, but I think there may have been a change to the amount of stamina required by the Elder for leaps/melee. I run Elder with Adrenal Gland, and a couple of matches since the patch felt a little ‘off’ in terms of how quickly I was out of stamina.

Does Unleashed affect the splash damage of the NRV-E?

I’ll look into that.

I forgot to check. I’ll post as soon as I figure that out. Splash damage vs the predator is very small. It has about a 2.5 m radius and starts at about 10 and max is about 35 damage, so direct hits are much more important. Splash damage is mostly for use against AI.

That was the only thing I tested and cared about for tbh, it’s just like the prototype mixed with the 50cal. It fits naturally in my playstyle and allows me to punish preds who live on those branches without melting them in 2 sec like the sawz-50 would without branches in the way.

The total stamina is still the same as pre patch. I’ll need to think of a way to determine if it takes more stamina to leap and melee.

The explosive damage be a bug right? I mean it’s an explosive gun after all

I think “plasma,” “bullet,” and “explosive” are all within their own categories.

if Dante lowers teh damage he takes from plasma caster which is explosive

but he doesn’t lower the damage taken from plasma rifle or NRVE

that’s a bug isn’t it?

Shooting straight down at your feet will “hurt” every character 40 HP, including Dante.

I tested this on Dante because he takes 25% less damage from explosives, such as barrels and self damage from rockets and grenades.

I think he does?

If he doesn’t that would be even dumber
