Shit i mentioned is balancing shit around the GAME and not around skill…

Cause skill does not need balancing… if you are shit you are shit… if you are good you dont need to abuse broken game mechanics to win… but even avg people can abuse it XD…

I’m with pred getting higher skill ceiling weapons and better gear. A 3 burst crossbow like you mentioned or wrist weapon instead of 16 damage wrist launcher meme gear. Close range weapons need to be rewarding since being in sight of FT anymore is a death sentence.

The issue is that illfonic gives FT crazy toys and keeps giving pred joke melee weapons. Basically all he has at this point is bow, caster, and bear traps. Honorable mention to elder sword for having the only efficient single target dmg melee combo in the game and not getting nerfed into the ground like combistick. Everything else in the preds roster just isnt optimal.

Not a fan of a fear mechanic thematically. Its not a horror game and DBD chase mechanics don’t fit. CC gear that inflicts status effects (sonic disruptors, blinders, shock traps, tripwires) would be a bit more in line.

Terrain slowing the FT down and getting them split up because of their low or high stam classes would be a new one actually. Tall grass and hills/rocks too but I doubt illfonic’s interested in messing around with the game engine that much, too much work. And its probably too survival-gameish for what they want anyways.

Fun thing that you say this lmao… we all thought this game was more towards realism survival than PVP… cause the director talk and podcasts with the senior dev and director they all said they plant to make it survival… and then on release date beta they decided to make another podcast which they went from survival to PVP valorant trash csgo stuff no realism type of shit…

Jebaited us into buying a different product than the one we wanted…

and omg not to talk about if i had like money to spend on stupid shit like sueing people XD… and to buy like a best lawyer and stuff… i would sue them right away just for them to do what they advertised their product before…

The problem of the game is that devs took away all the skill ft needs to be played in both solo and premade. Back in PRE 2.0 there were still bugs (game breaking) and bad balance, but at least with only one restriction you could have played a fair game even at high level (only one support class). Then after increasing more and more 2 particular things they broke the game and made 1 good player able to win games in solo pretty much consistently (I won 99,9% of my solo games for example, crossplay ON) and 100% (unbeaten) as 4 stacks with my main team. Damage and Health Bar of fireteam are the main reason why the game is not fun anymore , every veteran top tier player I know is not playing any more and took a break or drop , my self as well I am playing DBFZ. Things that were considered brain dead and low IQ in the past now are the ultimate pro tactic to kill the pred because the game is full of glitches and bugs, I give you examples:

  • solo chasing the pred in second wind when he has full sw timer to escape , heal and 1vs 1 with half hp

  • solo chasing the Predator for pigs

  • staying too much out of position to contest pigs

  • push the Predator in open space

  • when Predator is high ground , staying open and try to hit him

  • instead of searching a defence position, staying open and search for Pred

All of these things were a suicide in pre 2.0 at high level, now it’s just the best way to play because:

  • crouch hit boxes make ft impossibile to hit because arrows, combi throw, wrist blade, pistol shots and plasma caster shots go through the fireteam body

  • damage of ft is broken and it’s better to go 1 vs 1 if the Pred has less than 70% hp because you will mostly solo kill him

  • if you die there is field medic

  • you dont even need to care about dying because you have 150/175 hp + 20/30% of damage reduction coming from support and OWLF

  • Pred needs 5 arrows to down you and more 4/5 arrows to kill you which is ridiculus

  • pigs always spawn close to ft and Pred has only 2 medikits (and ft players know about that)

Game is fucked up and not fun any more to play unless you are a ft one trick player that doesnt touch pred. Not to mention the bow bugs dont forget…what a mess 😔

Yea pretty much if only they did an RNG spawn system across mqps of pigs literally spawning randomly and not close proximity to them… literally unfair xD

They should change it to default pigs like default medikits for ft, make them like 4/5 in the entire map so you dont have infinite healing. This is the only way Pred could eat one pig without wasting his secodn wind of his match directly.

I am not expecting anything honestly, not that time. If they are gonna add rollback netcode on Dragon ball, then good buy Pred 👋🏻.

I had an idea for something like your 1st one a few weeks back. I think the bear traps since they can be destroyed need a slight buff on how long it takes to get out of them

Bear trap idea works good.

AOE and fear mechanic need to balance each other out. Don’t have fear as an overall effect. Make it like a meter that fills over time when outside 10m of the rest of the FT. In that range there’s no effect, outside of that yeah. Vision blur, false pred indicators, shaky cam…can have a LOT of fun with that (don’t give me that trained soldier bullshit, promise you Audie Murphy would be fucking freaked by a Pred).

AOE options to drive FT apart. Damage and effect based. Shit give the pred smoke grenades that disrupt the mini map. Let the bastards stick together through one or two of them.

They need a buff considering how they work…

I want the traps to have sort of charge effect… the longer they remained intact and not tripped they generate a power charge which maxes out at like 1 minute of placement maybe more or less… and they deal more damage + the longer u stay in them they deal higher damage overtime… and once out of them u have a bleed effect of 3-5-10 seconds depending how long u stayed in them etc…

Same with netgun… it needs to have similar work style as traps and bleed effect that depends on how long u stayed in the net lol…
