The anti cloak grenade won’t be so bad. As with all gear it’ll be about tactical use. If the pred has audio decoys then lots of these grenades will be thrown at the decoys and wasted so that is just one way a pred can counter them. They will also need to be chosen over other possibly more useful gear items so again, tactics.
None of the additions seem game breaking as long as the gear point costs are correct.
Which prequel comic?? This is news to me.
It says UAV SCANNER. We know Falconer Drone from Predators movie is in the game files, so I think this is a counter device for that. Something to let you know the Falconer Drone is in range, so mud up quick before it can scan you sort of thing.
I am not aware of a prequel comic, just a prequel novel called Stalking Shadows. Could you please link the comic?
A good logical assumption would be that the UAV scanner will be built into FT radar. Otherwise, to add that as a perk or gear would be way too wasteful and not really determined by anything they currently know since Pred gear loadouts are hidden from their view.
The falconer drone however, would be likely that it is added as a gear for the predator.
It could always be a grenade they throw as a beacon for a UAV to scan that area for 30 seconds or so. If the predator is there it will highlight their last known location with a big of delay to give everyone a sense of where they are almost like a reworked automatic spot.
I’m sure it’s something like that. It would be a device for finding the predator. All the modern military games have them, and it seems strange they wouldn’t use them in 2025.
If thats so then that would waste a good slot for a frag grenade/flash bang/etc. Its entirely possible that you’ll have a match with a Predator that doesn’t use UAVs.

The fireteam brings in a UAV to track the predator, like a reverse target isolation. That’s what I would assume the new gear to be.
I have a feeling it’s going to be a semi stationary UAV that lets you have additional information on your mini map.
So you launch it say in the middle of a compound and it will circle the launch point in about a 20 ft circle.
Predator can shoot it down, but that might reveal their position.
The extra Scanning that it does, could be an auto spot (not highlight) in the Pred’s general area. So it might spot a branch as it bounces, or spot claw marks up a trunk.
It could also auto highlight un-cloaked Pred’s using ‘ Facial recognition‘, lol.
OOhh,ok. my bad. The wording is ambiguish so it could be an actual UAV (Drone) that scans or just a scanner on a radar that can pin point UAVs on a map (possibly for a temporary period of time).
this is how i feel it’s a new patch it brings new things if i had to place worries it would be this but hopefully other not yet announced balance changes shake things up so that the new gear isn’t so annoying to deal with
After my initial kneejerk reaction, it’s just going to be that much more satisfying to wipe the floor with FT now that they have a false sense of security behind these so-called technological advances.
I’m concerned that I’m just going to end up witnessing even more trash tactics done by fellow random teammates because they have all these crutches to lean on.
Personally as a pred main I think the self revive is a good addition to the ft arsenal Because I rarely claim so if the ft hide and revive themselves they can get back in the fight also it puts the predator in a situation where he/she has to claim or kill from afar so there a counters to the self revive
Honestly the self rez is annoying but I think itl cost alot.
Decloak grenade? Woooo as long as its not an overload or long duration it shouldnt be too bad.
The real problem is the UAV scanner.
If it’s an actual UAV scan.
That means no healing during second wind.
Which at that point, it would just be like wtf is the point lmao.
But we’ll see. Someone brought up a decent point that if they made a decloak made its probably because they improved the cloak.
So there might be some serious balance changes coming with the new stuff.

It was a Digital Comic that came with the deluxe edition as a download called Predator: Hunters by Dark Horse in fact it may have been one of their last comics they did since Marvel bought the comic rights recently.
Edit: I realize now that this is the PC DD I guess I originally got the PS4 DD but it all looks more or less the same albeit mine said Playstation Exclusive not Epic Games but the comic comes in both
You know I have a lot of respect for you, more than anybody else on this forum, but I don’t think it’s so self explanatory.
If you google “UAV Scanner,” the results are UAVs that scan, not scanners that scan UAVs.
