I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed this, is it possible that this could be the speargun we been asking for? Honestly I hope so! What I also do wonder is that combistick, the heavier end looks like it got some hidden tricks that I’m curious to see how it will play out in the film.
I mean I think that’s all it can be, a spear gun and that might be what the pack on his right shoulder is for his ammunition. However the Combistick on his waist looks like a Javelin or a modified Combistick with one end being sharp and the other being a blunt like mace or hammer end.
It looks blunt but also looks like it could have some retractable tips
Ok so to finally put this shit down into the dust and let it die there, Trachtenberg talks about the foundations of the film, how the cast were put through a bootcamp, how to root it in first Predator but make it new. He says that Prey isn’t a prequel as such – it’s just set prior to Predator
“I want to specifically say this, because I think there’s been some confusion how people have understood: in my mind, this is not a prequel movie, this isn’t, ‘Let’s tell the origin of the Predator.’ This is really something that’s set prior to the original Predator movie. And the Predator creature in this one, this is its first time travelling to Earth.”
So basically this is Feral’s first time hunting humans, first rodeo here on Earth. Not JH or any other Predator.

I’m also glad their trying to bring that supernatural feel back as well because when I was young v first watching the movie it felt supernatural when they said “the forest came alive and took him”

Oh I am well aware. At first I felt Sympathy when the LIES from Nomad made their Rounds, I even posted on the Reddit that Kass had been unjustly fired & tweeted at Illfonic that it was scummy of them to fire her for talking about the Update.
But of course that was all bullshit made up by some stupid kid for attention. So I no longer feel sympathy, she wasn’t any good at her job anyhow.
As for the rest… I’ll gladly tell a dirty fucking Commie to get fucked again and now they have no one to hide behind.
I guess it’s fair to criticize her performance. I still kinda feel for her. This is a tough place to manage.
