News about Prey 2022

Yeah and the speargun is notable for having come in two forms, pistol and rifle form. I just don’t know what the one on his back actually is until the film comes out.

……I’m not gonna say anything, I learned my lesson on overhyping things but Imma leave it as a Maybe.

HOWEVER THIS IS AMAZING!!! Omg!!! Predator fans are gonna lose it (in a good way). If I don’t see one head get shot off and pinned to a tree though missed opportunity but I’m glad their bringing this famous weapon into the movie universe finally!

Closer look to a new weapon that seems to be a speargun/crossbow!
Looks like the “thing” he had on his back that resembled a rifle/a sword, but I’m not sure

Also we can see more vividly the large mandibles.

everything is a predator reboot. The producers do the best they can at butchering the films. At least requiem on its shit budget was the last will see of anything B rated

On other note, you can see the (white biomask lining(and USB ports(??))

He’s playing with a prototype VR half helmet but lel Im pretty sure they’re still pushing the cybernetic upgrade bigger badder jurassic park angle here between this and this man’s spine.

I think the whole concept doesn’t make sense. Being able to learn from experiences of others you think they would have learned not to be cocky and ego-driven. I know there’s the honor code and all, but most of all i think you have to respect and honor your life. In samurai culture the was a code as well and the samurai would risk their life to protect their master. That makes sense on some level. Way of the warrior. For preds, at best it’s about respect in society but you still must honor your life otherwise what kind of example are you setting?

lol they have little respect for the prey’s life and are intent on punching it around and blowing off limbs goring them to watch their dying breath and “savor the moment”, so there is that.
I cant imagine they hold sentient life in a high regard in general.

preds have always been sadistic assholes but people larp like they’re extremely noble due to comics. Movies are just open PvP.
most respect they ever showed anything was not ganking an injured danny glover after CH embarassed everyone onboard.

Whats the point then of saying that they get trophies and do dangerous missions in order to get status in society. If they don’t value their own life, why would they value status?

All the disciple of the code sones mean much if you don’t value your own life.

I wonder if there are limits on reproduction. It doesn’t seem like yautja make dependable parents. I’d imagine the youth is raise by the tribe.

It doesn’t beyond ha its fun to kill stuff but only Gold’s Gym Clientele.

I could see it extending to hunting eachother too, what’s more dangerous than hunting their own hunters besides the fact clan wars are bad for a functional society? They’re nomadic so who cares.

That’s what I would like to see. A series trying to make sense of Yautja society. Might be boring, but I’d take it as lore.
