On a fun note, I do find it a bit funny that Sarii, yup the dog’s name, is just sitting there looking at Naru taking on big head Feral. Her real name is Coco, and they found her last minute to fill the role. She is the production sweetheart as Midsummer commented in an interview:
“I love that dog with my whole heart and soul. It was rough. They got her 2 months before this movie. She had so much energy. Her name is Coco. So much of Coco being around was her running wild and doing laps and so excited to see everyone all the time. For me, personally, she was a dream. For making a movie, you know. I don’t really want to though, like I couldn’t care less about lecturing a bunch of people who I barely know about something that they have no reason to believe me I have any interest or expertise on, like it’s just boredom that spurring on the interest in my opinion on it and I’m not trying to be coy at all I just legitimately don’t give a s*** about talking to you guys about military philosophy or history, or pontificating about futures that people outside of the forces really couldn’t know about.

The us gov doesn’t need to prove anything. They’re in complete control. They don’t to do it with weapons anyway. We depend on them for absolutely everything from food to medicine to communications etc.

You need to coordinate to make things work. You need someone to upkeep the roads (some roads do look really bad), manage city building, direct logistics, manage the ups and downs if economy, etc. Gov is middleman between individual and functions society. People only fill the roles.
State govs get off easy because they’re not on the spot as much. But girl it didn’t look that good during COVID and now with abourtion.

If central gov takes a step back, we’ll have the same thing at lower level. It doesn’t matter what the case is, people will never agree completely and some groups be brewing sheet against state govs. The form doesn’t matter. It’s about people being in charge

It would be interesting to see how the somewhat united states of America would functions. If voters would be more responsible and local politicians would be held accountable. If states could fail. If police could be run out of town. If we didnt have to cower every time we hear ‘irs is coming for you’ ads on the radio (then it would be a duopoly of it’s always a good time to buy new windows’ and ‘we got a cure for your dick’)
California would be owned by China like it already is along with Hawaii.
Alaska would become Russian soil.
Texas and everything around it becomes a superpower post-balkanization
