Yeah I never understood the “honor” part, like at what point was the pred honorable in the original? Not killing the woman because she was unarmed? That’s not honorable so much as it not being thrilling or worth his time.

This is extremely vague, again, the statement says that they have the opportunity to be part of the official lore,
not that what they are creating is canon, not that they are actually in the same ship of the movies:
what would happen if in a couple of year a new movie comes out, and it contradicts something that PHG’s lore stated? It happens that such movie would be canon, and PHG would not, because the canon of the movies is always prioritized compared to the canon of the other mediums (-> “expanded universe”), like PHG.
That’s how things are, the only canon is the quadrilogy of Predator, Prey, and the two AvP (thanks to The Predator that canonized them)
then there is the other layer, that is PHG, AvP 2010, PCJ, Neca stuff, AvP Fire and Stone/Life and Death, etc etc etc
(when I say “you’re free to have your own personal canon, I do too” I just mean that, as you all, I love many of those expanded universe stuff, and since a lot of it contradicts itself (or it’s not always of good quality) I like to fakely treat the best of the expanded universe stuff as it was canon, taking it seriously in the lore, but this doesn’t mean jackshit, beacuse I know what is really canon in the end, and I don’t go around saying what of that expanded universe is canon and what is not, cause the truth is that only the movies are official,
the rest you can enjoy but it’s in the same EU category for now)
