I was tagged in a post on discord the other day with a link to your discord and just clicked to see what it was thats why I joined thought it was another phg server, didnt knew it was the one from the tournament. I only stayed cus thunder was there too and I will probably watch the streaming of gesp or dan there like him if I’m home when it happens, you can give me the same role as him.

So a Pred player can win the tournament even though he wins less matches than every other Pred player?
It makes absolutely no sense. This game’s concept is to win matches, regarding the XP obtained. The XP is just a bonus.
The formula should be (matches won * XP gained in the winning matches + 0,5 * XP obtained in the lost matches).
That would be much more fair.

Make your own tournament then
The reasoning for the win ratio as opposed to the win count is because not everyone (FT and pred) will be able to play the same amount of matches
Example, Dan, gesp, orbiter are all playing pred and FT as a team. They will only play 7 matches as FT and 9 matches as pred. Using the whole number as a multiplier is unfair to them. Instead, a ratio, is more fair for everyone. If you win every match, you still have a 1 ratio, the maximum. No matter if you play 5, 6 or the 10 matches
In addition, people not wishing to play a certain match because of high ping, will not get as punished because it won’t affect their win ratio.

Why all your answers are “make your own tournament then”? Can’t you respect other people’s opinion? What a dumbass.
Also, players playing matches for both sides? Again, it doesn’t make sense. If they’re playing for both sides, they should have the same amount of matches as everyone else, both as Pred and FT.
They way you’re building it, a match or 2 can make a difference in the final score and rhat’s just not fair comparing to a player who managed to get 10 wins.

I’m going to try and keep it at bay, but yeah, some drama is definitely bound to happen.
I have my popcorn ready for when teams flat out quit because they can’t play with each other and they blame their loss on a single player
Though, most people in it are mostly PC players that already play together, so I don’t expect to be much drama from them. Plus half of us are in for fun and just to see how high we score. Most of us are not expecting to win.

I think that’s how it should be, for fun. I don’t understand why people are being so dramatic about various things, its just a fan-made tourney so we can all have a good time together and have an excuse to play with a goal in mind, rather than “kill Pred/kill FT/do mission” times infinity.

This format makes it so that the predator that most plays with the FT while still winning their matches wins the tournament. There are arguments about other play styles that are available, but this is interesting because it’s not the standard way that tryhards play.
Those arguments are ultimately meaningless though because any tournament requires someone to organize it, and this one was organized by @JelouGaming and if you want a different style of tournament, then you can organize one yourself.
