Ok everyone - bad news from Disney

I’ll fill you in…

The Comanche tribe was the most brutal and savage of the natives.

There was absolutely no place for women in combat, as most women were stolen from other tribes they slaughtered.

Disney giving them the woke treatment is equivalent to making a movie about Hitler falling in love with a Jewish man, throwing in the predator, and calling it a love story.

Do not support this bastardization of history, if ya gotta watch it, pirate it.

We don’t hate them because they’re women. We hate them because the current trend is Mary Sue’s with all the emotional depth, personality and charisma of a plank of wood that they yell at us to like or we’re bad people who hate women.

Disney is sensitive? They filmed a fucking movie in a literal modern day concentration camp 😆

It’s the plot summary they’ve given which is the biggest red flag ive seen for a movie since the ghostbusters remake.

you know youre screwed when they didnt have a SJW wrangler tell them not to put “gender roles” and “tomboy indian” in the synposis & interviews to scare everyone away.

Alien didnt market itself on Ripley being a strong independent woman defying gender roles and challenging the chain of command to save planet earth.
they were just investigating a signal and trying to do their jobs & stay alive wtf. its very clear when something sets out to be a weird token empowerment piece.

Your cheeks are going to get clapped BTW, me and the boys will wipe the jungle floor with you 👍🏻

I realize that, Captain Marvel and Mulan come to mind. I just think it’s too quick to judge Skulls for potentially having that when we haven’t even seen a Teaser yet. The casting is worrying though if she is meant to be from a tribe. Could just be the lighting tho.

I didn’t say it marketed or based the plot around it, of course not; but it did sort of start it, or pioneer if that’s a better term, the idea around more female protags.

Ripley’s great because she’s a prime example of show, not tell.

whereas new films that try to create a strong female leads rely very heavily on making everyone else but the female protag an idiot or complete background character yes men sidekicks.

the crew in alien was just that, a crew. but thats too much nuance for modern hollywood filmmaking. They cant help themselves so youre just watching writers pat themselves on the back for an hour.

Tomboy is the most encouraging part of this movie’s synopsis. We need more Tomboys. Give me a Tomboy Yautja villain to go with a Tomboy human protag.

No one has an issue with that - have you watched Terminator Dark Fart or new GhostBusters remake? This is the problem. Not women, agenda and almost a cult behind this bullshit.

Exactly.

And that’s what I hope our new protag in Skulls does. Even GvK was sort of gulity of that lazy shit with two yes men but then again she’s grown around Monarch and all that Kaiju stuff.

wtf is a tomboy comanche indian though? does she play with cars and not wear dresses?

JESUS CHRIST
can we stop this whining?

I can’t even explain her character progression. What development? What did she do over the course of three films that she wasn’t already doing at the start?

Yes.
You haven’t seen the movie and you are literally upset about a woman being the protagonist.
