Tbh he has a point she’s an absolute katana honor stereotype mary sue. Most of the extended universe stuff sucks eventually it’ll get the retcon bat if they ever try to do something serious with the comics/novels other than crossovers and one-shots by random writers.

Kill glands, psychics, cyborg xenomorphs, assimilation viruses, superpowers, humans physically overpowering xenomorphs or predators, it gets really trashy.

Its very hard to put humans in predator armor without making them the equivalent of a power ranger. The comics don’t care about it looking stupid & people half naked with a biomask on because they’re comics. Scavenger Nolan was about as grounded as it gets without looking absurd and i’m glad they didn’t have him fighting Royce with wristblades and a caster. Lex used a crafted spear because she didn’t have a gun nor did she pull any mary sue shit on the queen like machiko does. She is a human being with a stick and has to rely on her human being intelligence.

Yes. Harrison Ford suggested that Han Solo remain in Carbonite so that the galactic civil war would have actual consequences to the main characters. Kylo Ren killing him cemented that idea and simultaneously took Ren to a higher level of villain.

Just think about this: No one ever snarkily joked at or about Darth Vader. They knew it was a death sentence if you even sneezed wrong around him. Meanwhile Poe Dameron is being a smart ass right to Rens “face” whilst restrained on an enemy ship. He didn’t take him that seriously. Cant have that stuff with Predator. They always should be scary to the characters.
