I’m a die hard predator fan been so for twenty years followed comics movies an have been super excited for this game to drop. Of course I play both sides but in a predator through an through I cant be the only one to find that a human military knife can kill an parry a predator like a infant with a butter knife fix this hot trash a beserker is meant to cause fear not be hunted by 4 girls who can outrun an mash mellee with a knife

Yep. Parry is bad. It’s just one more nonsensical tool to encourage bullying the Predator. I say, just remove it. The fire team should be afraid of standing toe-to-toe with the Predator.

I completely agree I even tryd in a custom with friends. The melee perk mixed with scout or recon double damage to pred an faster movement makes the fireteam un-meleeable its garbage

I do agree. But did you have to add “4 girls”? I don’t see the relevancy of how this adds to your point. You’ve already proven it with the fact that the FT can parry with a smol knife.

I expect problems ya know an I even have a video clip of two fireteam agents in a tree killing me lol but the melee is what he uses as a way of hunting an living I dont think our weak a$$ human blades would do as much as they are

Parry is part of game mechanic. If you you throw predator into 4v1 and get ‘parryd’ to death mean you totaly dont understand predator concept.

Now if u read what I stated I deff understand the concept an I also understand that for people probally in ur age category all ur goin on is movie knowledge but can u for a second tell me a movie mind u I wont include my own knowledge of books an comics where he is killed an harrassed by a fireteam with knives

Let alone a beserker who has the strength naturally to one handed pik up another predator (roughly 600 lbs) an toss him. Ur telln me u can beat that with only knives lol

the issue comes with the perks added onto parrying and knifing in general. All it takes is 4 slashes with a knife to down a Predator with these.

Perks like Yautja’s Bane/Heavy Hitter and Double Time (aka Knife Party) create a pretty massive disadvantage to the Predator with one FT member knowing how to use this build, let alone 4.

It was pretty fun prison shanking the predator to death the first few times. Now its pretty damn boring.

Wholeheartedly agree with parry being broken rn. Just played my first match of someone abusing it and it feels awful.

The player was so confident in how broken parry was that he singled himself out, shot his gun, and waited for me to show up. I was not aware of this parry bs so I thought he was just being weird. I engage him and have to run away because this puny man with a knife is too much for me to handle. Same goes for the 2nd engagement.

This feels like I bought a game then someone took it away from me just because they could. I hope it gets fixed, this is not the game we all paid for.

It should break the knife. There’s no way a human can sit there and indefinitely parry a Predator swinging for the fences with a tiny knife.

lets take all the things beside like a military isnt realistic to parry a pred especialy as female bla bla etc etc
Or we start a debate of how realistic a Alien-Hunter encounter is IRL

This mechanic, call it parry, XYZ, HubbaBubba - doesnt matter - it is the very last option to have at least a little chance to not get downed within just 2 or 3 swipes - it gives instead a minimum chance to be not just easy prey and to gain attention to - if someone else is left - other FT members to help.
BTW if no one else left or the pred separates you and you’re alone and if the pred doesn’t let up the pred will win for very sure - it just takes 10 seconds longer

You know what would happen if they would get rid of parry?
It will be like this: Pred encounters and you can do nothing, nada, nix, game over at that moment!
Yeah you can shoot, good luck on a faster moving pred - if i hit, how much will a pred loose? a berserk? maybe 20% HP max!
Very cool as a FT player
Instead you could implement a method that when a stealthed Pred jumps in front of you, you immediately die out of heartstroke - same, it would be just no difference

Ok, the otherway around - iam sorry, but if you say 4 fem chars with knife mellee downed you, what does this say about your playstyle?

I say it once, my playtime is not ment to serve your ultimate Predator power-fantasy, it is asymmetrical, thats cool, it is meant to loose many times - we know what it is about, iam thrilled as FT player - but i will not give you my skull on a silver tablet

If they get rid of it, do you really think ANYBODY is willing playing as FT anymore? No more prey for you

im sry for your bad experience that playing the pred sint working out for you somehow - from my point of view it is the very opposite situation
