Here a bottom line: this game is going to be nearly impossible to balance, because one side or the other no matter what change you make is gonna feel the other side is op or something needs to go or this needs to change and yada yada. At this rate dumb everything down to the most basic it can be because no one will be satisfied until then.

Again, I’m not having problems. I understand how the melee works, and we work around it. The point is, if someone take the time to learn how to parry, they can parry every strike. The skill cap should not allow for compete neutralization of an option without the use of a net gun. You are shortening the viable list of builds and items you can bring which is unhealthy for the game. If you want to continue to stroke yourself cool, more power to you. My point is not the predator as a whole is weak, it’s that one of his main sources of damage can be entirely nullified if a person understands the parry system

It fails for those that (and I don’t mean to be a douche when I say this) that do more bitching than just try and have fun because at the end of the day, that’s what video games are for. To escape from real world issues and just have some fun, immerse yourself and escape from your problems even if just for a moment.
Do t get me wrong I love campaign mode games but I still like to mix it up
Parry need delete from game. Or make parry a feature of the Ranger class.

Completely agree. Jumped into a private match, timed my attacks while moving around with the wrist blades, and my friends had a difficult time predicting a parry.
It’ll only work for the FT when attacked head-on, any deviation in angles and the parry prompt doesn’t appear.
You shouldn’t be confronting a FT member face to face. It’s stubbornness if you can’t run around and attack from the sides or behind.
It fails because they can’t hit a sweet spot with balancing. Things change and become too strong or too weak and it’s just never consistent. That and of course when servers go down…

Contradicted what? That the fact that people needlessly complain (which was pretty much my biggest point here) instead of just trying to enjoy the game and use their heads?
Obviously this game isn’t going to sit well with Some and neither will changes 90% of people want made but there are still those that can just play it for fun and love to challenge themselves and I’m one of em. I adapt, I learn and I’m a terrible predator and I know it but I just have fun so you can keep having fun here while I try out this patch and see what happens.
All the aggro comes across like you have no desire to have a discussion. I’m playing rn, and with my buddy on coms, and as we are having this discussion, I parry a dude one time and due to the stun it causes the entire ft is able to instantly melt him. It’s not like you need to parry every strike, but some people can. All you need is one and the predator is stuck in place and you melt him, if everyone is on coms. I’m not even asking you to agree, I’m just stating I think at its current state it’s too strong. So I’m stating my opinion.

Yes well done… you have to predict when a fireteam member is going to spam parry your attack… this is another work around, not a solution.

I think people don’t know what anecdotes are hahah, as in your personal experience does not matter. What matters is the ability to parry every strike IS within the game.
