The most OP combo right now especially with the quick fire Plasma Caster getting a buff is to be on Plasma Caster on weapon wheel… then attack two times with wrist blades, shoot Plasma Caster fast, and cancel animation with another two hits… try it in Private match to get technique. You can continuously do this combo.
Would you recommend down range with this or fearless
Personally since the buff to uncharged plasma caster, use Fearless as wrist blades are fairly weak in comparison. One combo can down a player no problem, and lead into a second combo provided you get a line of sight before wrist blading again
You’d probably want downrange in case the player can parry well. Then at least you don’t have a more or less useless perk.
Honestly you lost me after the first sentence. I can’t really bare to think about how you play the game if your vision of how this made the game worse is true. You are either a really bad troll (And by bad I mean you are terrible at being one) or you really don’t know how to play this game. I am going to assume it’s the latter.

Also funny, because I wipe the fireteam in most matches (probably about 80%) I play as the Predator. I don’t have to be bad at a game to dislike a mechanic or think changes need to be made. If you don’t agree with my opinion that’s fine. But you don’t have to be an ass.
I think it might be more balanced, if the stun required 2 - 3 consecutive parries from the predator’s combo. Single parries would only deflect the attack.
So you are saying you’d like 1v1 with the predator with melee only to favor the fireteam? Ah yes, very thought provoking. A man of intellectual properties. I assume you’d like the 50. Cal to one shot The predator as well, and assume anyone who’s opinion differs is a mongoloid.
Can we also mention how the 50.cal gives 45-55 xp per hit and the knife gives 65xp on pred hit?? Sooo knife doing more damage than the 50 eh? Predator hunting grounds is good, because Predator hunting grounds is great.
Just played a match as the Pred. Health buff make it incredibly easy. Hunter class. Used only caster and wristblades. Didn’t try that combo^ because I didn’t need to. Super easy win. Barely took off 1/3 of my health.
Predator should be more vulnerable to gunfire. Stronger at melee and shouldn’t be stunned. Too easy to just wipe the team like I’m out for a walk in the park. Just casually strolling along and picking up kills left and right. But the parry/stun is not the way to do it. I barely had to pick my engagements.
Honestly I’m having a hard time deciphering constructive feedback from salty players that have lost or keep losing. This goes for FT and Predator players.
Balance is by no means perfect for either side. But I’ve definitely seen both sides win a number of times. But also lose. Just depends on a large number of variables.
My thing is I LIKE the fact that the fireteam feels strong and capable and makes a predator have to think and use tactics cause this game would suck if you could just charge in. I love playing with friends and punishing people for just trying to blitz. I literally just think the 1v1 viability and knife damage are just busted but that’s just my thoughts at the moment
I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen the 1v1 thing more frequently. I only saw one FT player do it semi successfully. But I thought nothing of it, haha.
Maybe I’m just playing wayyy too much (I am) cause I see it often hahaha. Not every game but like the fact that the skill cap allows it to happen is bonkers.
Like nothing is more nuts then when the random on my squad runs off and we are all like “shit here we go this guy is derping out” then out of no where it says PREDATOR DOWNED and before we have time to laugh it’s like “PROTECT THE SPECIMEN” cause they insta disarm the bomb too. Like it’s not super rare to see what I’m describing, and I feel it’s because most preds see this lone wolf and think “oof Lemmy slap him real quick” and before they have time to realize they fucked up he’s already parried them and smacked them around 3 or 4 times
Salt should be pretty easy to recognize. I have no trouble winning games. It’s not the winning or losing that’s the problem. It’s making sure the game is fun to play. And getting parried over and over is not fun.
So I just played a match as the Berserker and decimated the team within seconds. I lined up a slam that was just perfect. I mean it was a thing of beauty. Landed right on top two of them, downing the both. Then ran around the side of a building to let my energy recharge (was running the cooling syncs perk) and as their 3rd teammate came to assist I quick claimed one and pushed her off the revive. She parried me of course, so I swapped to the net, pinned her and finished her off. Finally their last member showed up and started unloading on me with the not-SAW. I had just enough health to put him down with melee spam.
So…
I have come think think that the stun isn’t the absolute worst thing ever…still gross and needs further tweaking. I don’t think a player should be able to 1v1 melee a full health Predator. Maybe increase the stamina cost of the parry so they can only parry 2 times before being exhausted. Or 3 times and lessen the duration of the stun effect on the the Pred. It seems unfair that the one player left after my slam had to solo me, and she shouldn’t be without any options at all…that being said if her idiot teammate hadn’t been on the other side of the map they probably could have chased me off with only one claim under my belt instead of a win. The last guy to show up almost had me in 2nd wind from full health. Better teamwork would have prevailed.
While I am beginning to appreciate the health bonus, I do feel it may be just a bit much. I think maybe split the difference? The Predator needs to be a little more vulnerable to gunfire.
Lastly, playing as a scout earlier, I downed and claimed 2 players, they reinforced, and I downed and claimed another. Finally, downed a 4th but got greedy and was taken down. Activated my nuke and killed the downed player and one more in the blast. But only got credit/xp for the 3.
Pred should get xp/veritanium for nuke kills.
Players who quit matches should count as kills and award the Pred with XP/Veritanium.
Make these changes and I’m happy.
