So I just played a match as the Berserker and decimated the team within seconds. I lined up a slam that was just perfect. I mean it was a thing of beauty. Landed right on top two of them, downing the both. Then ran around the side of a building to let my energy recharge (was running the cooling syncs perk) and as their 3rd teammate came to assist I quick claimed one and pushed her off the revive. She parried me of course, so I swapped to the net, pinned her and finished her off. Finally their last member showed up and started unloading on me with the not-SAW. I had just enough health to put him down with melee spam.
So…
I have come think think that the stun isn’t the absolute worst thing ever…still gross and needs further tweaking. I don’t think a player should be able to 1v1 melee a full health Predator. Maybe increase the stamina cost of the parry so they can only parry 2 times before being exhausted. Or 3 times and lessen the duration of the stun effect on the the Pred. It seems unfair that the one player left after my slam had to solo me, and she shouldn’t be without any options at all…that being said if her idiot teammate hadn’t been on the other side of the map they probably could have chased me off with only one claim under my belt instead of a win. The last guy to show up almost had me in 2nd wind from full health. Better teamwork would have prevailed.
While I am beginning to appreciate the health bonus, I do feel it may be just a bit much. I think maybe split the difference? The Predator needs to be a little more vulnerable to gunfire.
Lastly, playing as a scout earlier, I downed and claimed 2 players, they reinforced, and I downed and claimed another. Finally, downed a 4th but got greedy and was taken down. Activated my nuke and killed the downed player and one more in the blast. But only got credit/xp for the 3.
Pred should get xp/veritanium for nuke kills.
Players who quit matches should count as kills and award the Pred with XP/Veritanium.
Make these changes and I’m happy.
