PC/Crossplay/PS

Asking PC players to switch to an inferior platform to “prove” they are better is like asking a professional F1 driver to race on a Miata to show how "good’ he is…

And claiming that any console player will play better on a PC is like assuming a street car racer will get behind the wheel of an F1 and immediately dominate the race…

To get the aim assist and addition to the precision of the mouse which has been going on since KBM adapters have existed.

COD/Halo/etc have snap aim assist that additionally follows the crosshair like halfway across the screen depending on distance so controller has the edge there by being easier to use, they also get bullet magnetism and can hit shots that wouldve been considered a miss with mouse. It comes down to the dev trying to shorten the gap between controller and KBM & wherever they want their skill floor at.

COD and Halo are console shooters first and foremost and the aim assist reflects that, console’s don’t have flick shooters because they have to scroll across the screen with analog sticks which ofc is way less optimal than mouse, snap aim ADSing is there to remove a lot of the scrolling. Few games have Halo tier aim assist though and no one’s going to fuck around playing CSGO with a controller. Major crossplay titles have high aim assist because otherwise all the console players would just disable crossplay.

I didn’t say “Any console player” btw

Gotta agree with @JelouGaming
Someone on ps isn’t gotta become super good at a game if the switch to K&M it’s a completely different ball game and will take time to get used to

As I said before
You need skills too to be better
And I didn’t say "any ps player "
@JelouGaming

There’s that language again. “Inferior,” “dumbed down.”

That fact is, aiming with a mouse and aiming with a thumb stick are completely different things. Console only players can be proud of their aim using a controller, and PC players have no basis to claim “superiority.” It’s the difference between F1 and NASCAR, competition rifle and archery, paintball and airsoft, etc.

Kind of a poor aim assist then. I wish there was more of a in-game example of it in the video, like an actual match.

What jelou said is a true statement tho, has nothing to do with how good or proud a player is.

Consoles are inferior to gaming PCs and thats a fact.

It is inferior. Please take not I am not talking about players, but the platform itself. Hardware wise, it is an inferior platform given the limitations it has. The only arguable benefit of consoles vs Gaming PC’s is the plug and play factor and “bulletproof” design, which, is arguable, because consoles do get blue screen errors, crashes and is not like 20 years ago where you would pop in a cartridge and play away. Now you have update installs, disk failures, update bugs, etc., just like on a PC

Not to mention that since the Xbox360 came out, both Microsoft and Sony’s consoles have suffered of poor hardware design and have had gone hardware revisions to deal with hardware failures because of cheap components and/or bad thermal design

I’m not buying the argument, but I can’t tell you how to judge them. It’s apples and oranges, but you’re free to think one is inferior.

Some PCs are going to to have more computing power than the latest console, but some won’t.

Some PCs will have better graphics at the cost of frame rate or better frame rate at the cost of graphics. But some won’t be able to have both.

PCs are customizable. Consoles are standardized. Which you think is superior will depend your individual values. That’s my piece.
