Perks DO need to be revisited and changed

I mean he didnt say that, he just said that there are other things to rely on beyond a perk.

I agree the plasma nerf was unnecessary which is why people are pleading for it’s natural return but these perks are generally why either factions get’s destroyed.

Yeah I agree, Balance would be a lot easier both ways if these perks were out of the picture. Perks should be auxillary. With perks like those, that are “staples” all it does is detract from getting creative with builds because everyone is gonna run em.

The predator SHOULD be 20% stronger than humans and out of those odds should be ft using good teamwork and strategy

My thing is this. If ft is gonna be able to hit as hard as they can now, then I want at the very least cannon damage to do a bit more splash damage.

The cannons splash damage is very frustrating because of its inconsistency. Definitely needs to be fixed, wont disagree there.

Also Yeah I feel you, everyone has the mindset of knowing better than everyone else. It is what it is. Even if we disagree, I still value your input. Because if one person feels a certain way, so will many others.

Is that the actual problem? The splash damage has an rng to it? I thought they just lowered splash damage, not randomized it though that would make sense, as to why it feels like they’re only tickled.

As far as removal of damage and def perks go, if they did that I feel pred would get completely shafted. Unless they kept in those perk values as base stats. Because as it is now. If they took away my impenetrable and fearless, I dont even think I’d be able to wipe a team.

Even with those perks I still feel I dont do enough. But I’m all for glass cannon. Like I said, as long as I can hit hard then il deal with more pain.

Maybe it would be enough to give away FT perks against AI and Pred … Why did they actually reduce the number of AI? Even one member of FT will shoot them solo

No I dont think its randomized. Its just inconsistent. I think the inner radius needs to be extended to account for hitting a wall right behind someone or things like that.

In my balance changes stealth would be better, and stealth kills possible. Meaning you will have more options than melee spamming up close when it comes time to fight.

Yes Ideally everyone will hit each other hard, but the predators real edge is the better stealth.

That’s something I completely agree with. I would love the chance to completely set up an ambush trap for the ft. I love stealth. Like leading the a.i. to a specific spot or more bear trap type traps.

Some rope traps where they hang from trees, idk the possibilities are endless.

I can appreciate that if one attack def/buf perk goes they all gotta pretty much gotta go. Thats a fair trade off on both sides. The health both is only 15 points and that only makes support XXL Hefty.

I will argue that observant should stay no only cause I like it, but its a counter to mudding up constantly. Also, its not a cheap perk if I remember right.

Anyway

All perks need to be revisited to make sure that one, they work in the first place, then we should tackle redoing them.

I think some perks should be class passive too a mentioned, same for fireteam, give classes a passive perk that applies to that class

Agreed. I completely missed his opinion on observant. It should stay.

Predator doesnt, but each class already has class perks (passives) for the fireteam

Not to mention the fireteams strongest perks against the predator.

If you want to get rid of all health and damage related perks ok but it needs to be literally all not just the ones you dislike the most

My only major thing would be remove all the damage reduction and damage buffing perks from both sides. The devs should balance the HP/damage resist as best they can. The amount of people (myself included sometimes) in various shooters that rage because they “unloaded half a magazine into that guy and it did nothing” is astronomical. The more “hidden” mechanics you have the more frustrating it is to try and learn from mistakes because you just don’t know if your enemy had bonus HP or damage resist or if it was really your error.
