The lawsuit was filed on April 15th to honor the copyright termination notice that the Thomas Brothers sent Fox back in 2016 declaring the copyright reclaimed as of April 17, 2021.
PHG Anniversary Update & Predator Legal Issues
No shit
They should talk around it. If they stay away from certain terms it should be ok?
So they sold this to people knowing what could/would probably lay ahead
Wasnât it just for the US rights of Predator
It would seem so.
Correct.
At this point , who knows . Alot could have or might have been said or done . All we know that is we have seen and experienced what we have
The Disney and Fox merger has really fucked PHG in the long run
We would still have the same situation with bugs and broken matchmaking. Thats on them
I have a good idea, when it comes to Samurai and Viking - cashgrabs. If you look up release date for Samurai DLC, it was 30th Jun. Thatâs exactly 2 weeks before GoT was launched. Only reason I can think of adding a non lore related pred that looks and acts like a proper samurai in to this âcanonâ game is to attract ppl waiting for GoT game. Coincidence? Well idk - Viking was released EXACTLY 2 weeks before AC - VanhallaâŚ
Those stupid cosplays are simply cashgrambs, their only purpose was to sell more copies of this game to ppl waiting on other games. So the desing team was consumed by creating non existing in lore monsters, rather than focusing on Wolf, SuperPreds or Lost tribe
But we wouldnât be in this no news/update purgatory
Not with a lawsuit no , we would still be going from update to update with no promotion and pondering what will be fixed or broken
Ok even if this is the case there can at least be a statement saying they canât say anything rather than not saying shit at all and us having to assume or speculate that these different reasons are the case. Yes they said something about the stream being delayed, but nothing towards the update. Yea they canât give us a specific date but at the very least they should be able to say thatâs its no longer coming in April or just say something just details being on hold without giving out info thatâll get them in trouble
Samurai and Viking are literally cash grabs that Sony probably wanted Illfonic to implement.
I blame the piss poor marketing
So happy not only me can see this! However, I was banned for mentioning this, so be carefull!
Mentioning Sony on those forums is like summoning Cthulhu or somethingâŚ
I, for one, cannot imagine how the guys over at Illfonic feel with the uggly possibility of another game of theirs be affected by a lawsuitâthat is such a bad bad coincidence :(
Piss poor marketing would still involve SOME marketing
As I said before, once (F13) is just bad luck.
Twice in a row looks sketch as fuck. I would not doubt the possibility of cash grab shenanigans with easy lawsuit bailout
