yeah and even thats hard sometimes but i do carry one. it gets easily destroyed it it hits any objects and if the sniper is quick to dodge around and hop its quite hard to land a net shot.
But i always carry a net gun in my loadouts and it does help with these engagments for sure

But yeah, plasma spamming should not be the only plan. There’s gotta be a plan b if FT is prepared. And it’s good if they are cause the game didn’t become one-dimentinal.
no its not that its the only thing, but when you are against the good teams its neccesary to use the plasma a lot to wear them down and make then use their heal kits before you go in for anything else.
but you cant just stand spamming it because it leaves you so open to incoming fire.
you get 1 charged or a cupple of uncharges shots and thats all oportunity allows you with a good team.
The issue is that with not so good teams (not calling names or anything) - they cant react fast enough so it does make it very easy to be able to abuse the plasma caster. but thats not the predator or games fault its that the team has not learned how to counter that yet. and its entirely possible.

its also about threat assesment, is the predator good, if so then you may need to do the mission faster and win that way. if the pred isnt so great then you can take your time and make a lot of trades…
I see a lot of fireteams that are well outplayed by me still sticking to the area and wanting to continue the engagment over and over, where they would be better served finishing the mission as fast as possible and winning that way

There is incentive to charge your shots. Just more preds now a days think not charging is better.

If the base shots gets nerfed, then you’ll need to buff the charged shots, but of course, ppl will still bitch about that too.
And no ppl have given valid points, that you ignore them is on you.
Essentially the base shots uncharged just match the ft dps.

Why is it ok for ft to have consistent fire rate, but not pred?

If the Base shots are nerfed, then we need the charged shots to be more impactful.

So of this change were to happen it would benefit me more.

Spaming plasma blast takes no skill, rushing in and using melee takes no skill. I can do that with absolutely no difficulty. Make me do what sharpy does with the bow. Yeah, no dice.
PS. Doing the above does not mean the end result is a successful one. Spaming plasma or rushing melee against a competent team ends with a dead pred almost every time.
