Poll: Predator Stealth. (Read first reply for clarification on better/worse, Comment any ideas you have that I missed.)

No one can see the Grenade Master when he is invisible, neither PC nor PS4. Press E is the ultimate top tier pro tactic in Hunt mode now a days.

Honest opinion, I’m at work so I can’t study this more than casually but, the cloak has almost nothing to do with this. You’re inside 40m most of the engagement. This was how you won before the cloak. I really don’t see this as a cloaking issue it’s just solid speedy pred play.

I think the game is more fun than ever before with the cloaking change. Predator can actually be, ya know, stealthy. Literally for the first time since launch. He’s been like a light up T-Rex. As FT I actually feel some fear. Still kill plenty of predators but the experience is better. I won’t name names, but I see a few very loud individuals complaining about Predator being OP. First, that’s not the case if you don’t suck. Second, if you don’t like either hunting or being hunted, you’re in the wrong place and should go back to Call of Duty. Or play clash since that’s what that is anyway. Third, FT still has the advantage in literally every other way. In short: shut the fuck up and git gud.

The footsteps are quiet enough. If you want to be quieter, just leap without moving and use crouch walking.

Nobody will enjoy silent predators sprinting all over the place. That’s a recipe for broken balance.

Appreciated by the Grenade Master , but the way I escape in the pc game with few hp was only cause of the cloak. Disappearing at 45 is too strong for me, 90/100 would be fine.

80m max. Keeps derailed in check.

The whole leap doesn’t need to have an effect but there should be a shimmer in cloak when you’re close and moving at speed.

I don’t know if it would work but that’s why I suggested it, so it can be tested to see if it works.

I think 100m would be fine if cloak was still pretty hard to see. At same time 100m is really far on 500m map

Explain more?

Often the change to invisible happens so fast it’s impossible to tell whether they just went invisible or whether they leaped out. The leap is the fastest a Predator moves and movement is what causes more distortion in the cloak.

So when they leap, not while in the air but at the start, it would be nice if the cloak had some effect that gave you a hint of direction. Not enough to track by and only when in close range. At middle and long ranges there doesn’t need to be any effect at all.

Like I said, I like the new cloak just feel like console players have an innate disadvantage at close range.

I see. I wouldnt mind if the cloak lit up for a second or two at the beginning of each leap. The sudden movement distorting the cloak makes sense to me

This just sounds like a gimmick to make a teleporting boss easier to follow.
Really dont think it’s a good idea for a pvp game, or this one.

There shouldnt really be a giveaway that the pred is leaping, or what direction. Not a super obvious one like that anyway.
It would make it too easy.

I feel like at that point you might as well add a lock on system for ft.

Actually a simple flash might be enough, I don’t want an unfair advantage. They can test it and decide, it isn’t something I am going to push for.

This actually a really good poll.

Personally I think the footsteps need to be removed while in stealth for squishy classes like the scout and reduced when unstealthed.

Reduced for the hunter while stealthed, but left as is while unstealthed.

And for the heavy classes like the berzerker they should be loud if stealthed or not.

Clicking should absolutely be non-directional. Just like the movies.

The amount of paranoia I felt as a FT constantly watching my back and searching the trees early on before I realised it was actually directional and could be used to locate the pred was just brilliant, anxiety inducing, HORROR

and that’s what it should all be about.

Just a bit of insight of where ik coming from, I just feel that this is one of those things that might help some players who struggle at tracking, but, would make others have it way too easy.

The thing is, I’m good a tracking but still find myself frustrated by close range bunny hopping. I do see your point and hope they test it out but not add it if it does make it to easy.

Ya that can be annoying, but it depends how they do it.

If it doesn’t feel like they’re jumping around out of desperation, or fear, and you can tell it’s how they play, not just them doing it cause they cant think of anything else, then I like it.

So far theres only been one pred who hopping around and I loved playing him.
I think his name was red ribbon.

Hes killed me twice, I’ve yet to kill him as ft, but i got lucky and found him as pred and took his skull xD.

Wait @Fire

Why are u saying this is a fucking PVP game when its not only PVP lmao…

Clash is mainly pvp i guess…

Hunt is not PVP its PVPE

This changes a lot of things… due to it being an immersive asymmetrical multiplayer game, both teams are obligated to have a unique ability that lets them be sort of hard to reach etc but work in similar ways… While pred cloak is in favor the fireteam has ability to SPOT him.

Fireteam mud is able to hide them from thermal vision but temporarly… thats what makes an asymmetrical game asymmetrical… those same princip…

Current cloak changes are good except they dont work well due to how textures of pred are not at all good… he looks like a fking black hole man xD… even on pc he looks light blue ish…

When in fact the cloak needs a proper invisibility transitions when leaping away from fireteam so u can see him blending in with the jungle and light too…

The distance needs to be max 70 meters if u ask me… and predator should be able to be almost fully invisible when he is crouch walking and only be shimmer at fast speed movement at that distance…

I honestly haven’t noticed that much of a difference lol

It’s pvp, bots are just a default buff for pred.
