Potential and simple gameplay rework

A. In the lore of DBD it make sense. The entity stole the killers from the real world and tortured them to be their servents so they literally cannot kill them without permission because of the trauma turning them into loyal servents or at the risk of further torture. On top of that the Entity thrives off of torture and false hope (hence why Survivors are allowed to escape in the first place)

B. Your saying lore should dictate the game more than Good gameplay and balance.

That’s just DBD being DBD omg the pallets, flashlights, loops, imbalance oh my God.

The no kills in down thing is either a part of a personal problem or it’s a solution to the games bad balance that I wouldn’t recommend. The games quality would go down if you just suddenly were able to mori every one. It would need a massive rework that goes beyond even my idea of a rework.

I was thinking specifically early game squad wipes. The late game is still the same amount time. But you can’t just wipe a squad instantly. You’ll still own them and it’ll be an easy victory still but Pred will get some gameplay and FT won’t feel as bad.

While true that’s like telling a criminal to back off. You still need something to prevent it. Plus if we give players a more enjoyable experience when they get trashed they’ll be less likely to leave the game entirely.

Ya but you leave your bad team at an even further disadvantage. As for having a bad team that’s something SBMM should solve, not allowing for quit outs. Quit outs harm other players and besides would you rather just be qued into a match a match with good players or have to re que every time you see a bad player.

Nerf the FT as well. I’m not saying this change should be implemented alone.

I specifically stated they’d need to buff Pred/nerf FT for this to work.

Lol the whole DbD thing is another topic, which could possibly be fixed.

The things you mentioned as unbalanced are only a thing because of shitty game concept design.
If you’re really interested in talking about it I can tell ya why, but lol.
Ima try to stay on this game xD.

Anyway, if the goal is to prevent early wipes, then the better solution would be to make bigger maps, and longer more complex missions.

Make thermal better, and give pred another tracking thing that helps narrow down the ft by say 150 meter radius?
Like hey their right here, somewhere.
More vision modes too.

Switch target isolation to only work of you’ve tagged the ft.
This is just a random idea,
Maybe increase iso cd?

Anyway,
This is to solve the short matches issue without screwing over pred.

Slow down the pace of the match.
Also slow down ft while were at it too.
They should be like 10% 15% slower in max sprint speed.

Get rid of double time while were at it.

Because I’m not the only one who enjoys being to kill off quickly.
While I don’t usually wipe quickly, I always try to kill 3 off as fast as I can.

I started doing it as a way of training.
But I’m not the only one.

So I Know not being able to kill off ft would ruin the game for a lot of people.

The thing is we need to switch the game up and change up peoples mentality.
Ft is not supposed to be able to really have a fighting chance vs pred.

The way the game is supposed to be is you have 30% chance to make it to the chopper, and only if you work as a team.

5% chance to actually Kill the predator.

I’ve noticed this 1v4 genre is cursed because too many fucking idiots think that it’s a good idea for balance if the team faction has good odds vs the solo faction.

Its beyond stupid, This mentality.
It killed evolve, it leads to bullshit in every other 1v4 game.

Because if the odds are too high for the Team faction, then the solo faction becomes completely fucked over by balance And things get stacked against it to the Point where it’s not even fair.

Ft mains, and team faction mains are seriously the most stupid scum of the world.

“Hur hur I wanna be a fucking worthless ass human And it should have da advantage cause I Fucking said so and I’m a spoiled fucking narcissist so I Dont want the solo faction to stand a chance hur hur durr”

Then they proceed to lick windows.

Right now tho, while yes we need many things and changes, that only those who are literally stupid refuse to see, the main Thing we just need are more effective ways tools for pred to fight indirectly.

Weapon mods would be a really good start.

Oh btw on the Topic of stealth kills.

Illfonic just needsTo copy call of duty in the sense of, add unique cosmetics unlocked By completing challenges, but you can only obtain them by doing these challanges in public matches.
Not privates.

This would also help with ppl not quitting.
And on top of it.
They need to add more things to collect, and make the prices a bit high.

But!
Add stuff like, if you get a stealth kill, you get 5k vt.
Long claim 1k vt.

These would always happen and can only take effect in public matches.
You could also add very hard to kill bosses for ft. To get extra vt and challenge stuff.

Shaders, they can add titles, new cosmetics, ect.

That way theres more incentive to do these Things.

The only thing that does is increase the time it takes for the Predator to get to the FT, which yes technically does but the point is to give the Predator gameplay, not just match time.

Well in that case yes the Predator has to track the FT. But that’s it you’ve only introduced tracking. You haven’t actually extended the fight between the FT and preds.

You could actually do both of these ideas and they wouldn’t even affect each other.

Again that’s a balance complaint. Just increase bow damage to 100 per quick shot and 200 per charged shot boom my ideas good now.

That would make them easier to hit, meaning they’d also die faster.

But to try to lightly explain it, the way I imagine it the pred wont have that much of an easier time finding ft.
150 meters is a pretty big area.

Second, ft moves to quickly right now.
They should all move no faster than Base assuault speed.
Thecl speed they can get from one base to another is ridiculous.

As for extending the match while Fighting pred, well that’s more on the ft side, having to play well.
We cant keep babying the dumb ass ft.

And yes. The favor for a game called predator hunting grounds should be in favor of pred.

All the things you said you hate. Are because they force the Killer to have OCD and impulsively Clean their weapon.

Purely from a gameplay perspective, the game Is just bad design.

Too much catering for team factions.

If the killer and the over all game design was better, looping and flashlight wouldnt be a severe issue.

Especially in a game like that That’s horror.

From a balance perspective I have to disagree. Moving fast is fun. You can just adjust mission times and TTK to work around this but that’s personal. Objectivitly I have nothing to say.

Beyond making the FT harder to track I don’t see any suggestions.

All it does is make getting destroyed less annoying. In the same match ups you’ll still get destroyed. The main purpose of this idea is to improve the gameplay loop.

Plus I forgot to mention this idea also has the benefit of keeping the FT’s power consistent throughout the match, which makes balancing easier.

Whatever happened to the game should be balanced around the capacity of both sides are capable of doing?

Plus that also kind of just flips off FT when FT is just as important to the game as Predator is.

It takes both sides for the game to work.

Plus look how many people hard main Pred. It’d just get worse if it’s Pred sided.

Got nothing to say against that though I personally enjoy it. If you take a small step forward you’ll actually go backwards a bit as your character puts their foot back into place. Feels unique and realistic (even though it’s even less realistic since why doesn’t your foot just go straight down)

I wouldn’t say it’s horror as much as horror themed really even if tries to be scary. Most people play it for it’s gameplay rather than scares. (Though Ghostface and scratched mirror myers would like too have a word with you :p)

Though I will say people actually like the gameplay (I have no idea don’t ask) so it’d probably be better if a new game was made rather than rework dbd.

KH2 versus KH3 and FF7 versus FF7R really shows this as well.

With my ideas, if they are implemented exactly as I imagine them, things would be balanced.

The very very brief description Is just raising the power level in the game.

Both sides harder to kill would be easier to balance.
And funner, if implemented correctly.

While I will admit I don’t make the Pred harder to kill I do make the FT harder to kill. So what if we nerfed FT damage by 70 percent would that help my idea?

I think 70% might be too much.

Like the exact number I havent figured out yet.
But sorry man ima have to vote no for this idea.
The thought of not being able to kill them off makes me even more depressed than I am lmao.

I know I stated this before but I want to mention it again. There needs to be some kind of mechanic that is put in place to prevent a team from running multiple tank classes. The damage reduction from support classes and the number of medkits that can be taken makes it so that the fireteam can tank a lot of damage.

Two support classes on one team is okay but slightly annoying. More than two tank classes is when it become difficult for a predator to fight against.

I don’t think FT should be able to tank at all. In general I’m high TTK fan.
