Isn’t that the same thing as tanking? If it takes longer to kill a fireteam member then they’re tanking the damage.

I don’t mind when it’s a bunch of randoms but when it’s a premade, that’s when it’s a problem.

Not quite. Tanking is purely low TTK while TTK in general counts all times to kill.
I have to disagree that’s an aweful idea.
A. You either match make with people who default class isn’t the same as yours, I.E longer que times. Or
B. If four people have a support class they’re now kicked of of that class and forced to use a random loadout.
Plus why don’t we just balance the game rather than limiting player choice
A. Bow shots and combi pins are stealth kills so you can do it from range.
B. There’s still the mechanic where you’ll straight up die if your downed too many times.
C. Increase Plasma caster AOE
D. Introduce a gas grenade for Pred.
I just want location based damage, pred armor included. I’m fine with two bolt action sniper shots to the back of the head downing the pred as long as combi or caster headshot is a kill & FT weapons become projectiles with travel time so snipers arent just predicting an animation and shooting directly at the pred.
FT gets a 3s TTK while pred has to do this ridiculous dance where he retrieves the combistick multiple times or tries to caster before the revive animation finishes just to put someone down. Quick claiming when people are stacked ontop of eachother sucks too.
FT that get wiped early should have some other way of interacting with the missions or be able to coordinate stuff for the last man standing. Reinforces giving all the gear back and everyone a second life is just bad design in general bc everyone can play like they have multiple lives, field medic makes it worse.
At that high if a TTK just make a body shot combi down. That’d be really fun.

How about just getting rid of the support’s passive damage reduction.
Just seems like they went for this half-realism route where pred dies from a single mag from most weapons but for pred even headshots with a thrown projectile w/ insane drop don’t do the damage it should be doing.
One side plays by some kind of consistent logic and the other can just survive headshots and melee weapons with terrible tracking and then their downed hp bar also just tanks headshots and they revive eachother over and over and over
I don’t think that’s far enough and I like that part of the Support… I think Pred just needs a Higher TTK in general.
