The movie was going to be serious towards the end, when Traeger takes the son, the leads were suppose to show up at day time site of Ark crash. As they try to save son the Assassin lets loose the hybrids on the ship. I think Lynch dies in the helicopter during attack and most of Traeger’s men are. Traeger tries to kill MacKenna and he is sniped by military. Edward James olmos who was cut from film, was to explain what is going on and introduce the Emissaries who have been on earth for year. All the predators in film were part of Rogue tribe that wanted to upgrade selves to get even with humans and sneak attack it. The emissaries were probably responsible for some of the hybrids and decided to flee when finding out what was going on. They most likely crashed on earth which explains lack of armor or they made deal with army. The Fugitive was stealing the hybrids so Assassin couldn’t use them. The leads were to work with Emissaries to take out Assassin and get to ship, but they are overrun by the hybrids. Coyle dies in chase, and face is ripped off. Meanwhile kid and Casey are at crashed site and when the others need help find out that hybrids have explosives on collars that can be set off on ship. So son gets the ship partially off ground and shoots Casey out of escape pod with console which gets rid of hybrids. The assassin kills Baxley as the convoy crashed. The rest of the film plays out somewhat same, except don’t know what happened to Emissaries. Casey doesn’t seem to use a gun as much as she steals a cop bike to catch up to leads instead of walking. At same time as leads are on top of ship there are fighter jets attacking at same time.
I don’t know what you mean with “above the law” thing with Casey.
The jungle thing may have been rejected by fans too. I have a feeling some would say that its the same thing as original and write it off. I mean we got that issue with Hunting Grounds, but people are not thinking at first what game features would they have to change if we got an snow map or desert. They have to figure out what to do with the mud up issue, as there will be less or no areas with mud. It would have to be almost a new mode. The thing is these movies, regardless how we feel are going to be partly dictated too by average movies goers. So if we got alot of historical film settings, but just hunts with now new plots, I think people would get bored who aren’t invested in series.
