In Big Game the pred observes a puma stalk a boar but then right before the puma strikes, the pred claims the boar for himself. Later on when the protagonist is being chased by the pred the puma gets in the preds way and they have a tussle. It was an awesome scene in my head.

I imagine a fully grown bear would give some yautja a run for the money in a close quarters fight, but, unless injured, the pred would emerge victorious.

Meanwhile the franchise literally started as a chad dude bro shining example of masculinity. Lol. Which there’s NOTHING WRONG WITH. That’s the problem, is they don’t understand why the first film did so well. We just watched it going “FUCK YEAH” the whole time, as well as having a great and simple plot, excellent writing and direction. But today’s Hollywood thinks that kind of film is something bad. And it’s just not. Does that mean I’m saying all action should be like that? No. Does that mean feminine leads can’t make awesome action movies? No (Alien, Terminator, Kill Bill). But what it means is this particular franchise shines when it’s balls to the walls masculine chad bro action. Know your audience

Its such a brief explanation. We don’t know the circumstances. Maybe the pred will be a bit beat up at that point. Maybe she has some connection with the forest - supernatural. In the movies pred is defeated by smarts and perhaps due to its arrogance. Honor system may be involved too.

Don’t down the movie prematurely. It might suck nontheless, but wait until the release to judge it fairly
