I don’t think there will be, Disney has seemed to distance its “executive tampering” from its horror franchises, specifically in this case Alien and Predator. Romulus and Prey didn’t reek of wokeness and forced politics (I know some of you will argue this, and perhaps a little bit is there, but let’s be honest, compared to how they’ve been treating Star Wars since their acquisition of the property, we’re very, very lucky its so minimal), and Earth seems to be about the same for what I’ve seen. Like I get it, big alien hunter vs. little girl with tomahawks doesn’t make sense, but unlike Rey Palpatine, Naru IS flawed and is NOT perfect, and actually grows as a character.

Again, I don’t think we’re going in that direction here. Dan Trachtenberg stayed with the mature, violent concept of the character in Prey and wrote a good story, there’s a reason why so many people called it the best since the original. And I think he’ll keep to that for Badlands.

Yea thas true and yea preys woke was subtle enough that i was able to overlook it minus the lil thing i didnt like but yea you right cant say romulus was too woke and she actually had a slight arc so it wasnt terrible.

I wouldn’t call that “woke”. Like I feel like that label is tossed around way too much unnecessarily. Like there is obvious woke shit out there, but I don’t feel Prey was one of them. Yeah, Naru has plot armor, but she’s the hero of the story. So was Arnold. So was Danny. She’s not gonna die, maybe she could have been beat up more but I didn’t see much of an issue. Probably should watch it again to get a fresher perspective, but from I remember it was alright. I mean, hell, according to the game lore Isabelle was able to commandeer a spaceship and fly it back to earth. Would that be considered woke, cuz girl can all of the sudden learn how to fly an alien ship?

Well thats jus the word ppl know what it implies so yea had to say that to get the point across. And no i wouldnt say that but about isabelle but the comparison of the dynamic between characters was different. In predators nobody was talkin about go make us food in the kitchen and all the tropes it was them all working together. Where prey it was alot of tropes to lift her up instead of giving her a good character arc. Loke i said in comparison to other movies of today it was subtle so it didnt turn me off even if stuff was obvious like her gettin cought in a bear trap then able to run around, juke, and climb/jumpin off trees and whoopin the predator with a mauled leg, but it was said that the predator was weakend through out the movie which is true so i didnt harp on her beatin the predator jus the obvious “nobody not even a man would be able to do what she did after bein mauled by a bear trap” moment. Dont wanna come off like im trashin cus i still watch it from time to time jus pointing out certain stuff is all

Elle thought to herself if there was any place to confess her feelings for her companion, it would be here and now. She swallowed before broke the seal between her lips. “Oh my hunter friend, so brave, so powerful, so strong😍” Elle gently brushed her hair back with one finger as she admired the stoic alien, briefly masking her shy demeanor. The alien glanced behind himself as he strode, noticing the shy human female enthralled by his stature, and sunk his fucking mandibles into lip somehow stop asking questions sexsexsexjunglesexbootybangbangooohoohahah
