Money is no measure of quality, it just further cements the fact that a fool and their money are easily parted. But if the movie is so great, why is nobody talking about it. It hasn’t been out that long really, but it’s already forgotten. I highly doubt it will be remembered with such reverence like how the first two movies are still to this day. And you cannot compare the revenue from the original 87 movie theatrical release to Badlands, without factoring in inflation, population increase, cinema location increases amongst a few considerations.
The 80s and early 90s were very, very different times. It would be like saying the Ford Focus is a more successful and popular motorcar than the OG Ford Mustang because more Focus have been sold globally. Please…
