Predator Buff

Physical abilities

I know one thing, Major — I drew down and fired straight at it. Caped off 200 rounds and the minigun, full pack. Nothin’… Nothin’ on this Earth could’ve lived… Not at that range. MAC TO DUTCH , REGARDING THE JUNGLE HUNTER S ENDURANCE (FROM PREDATOR )

Now implement this! I’m a gosh dang space alien that hunts intergalactic species!

Technically it is…easy to dump 200 rounds from the minigun into the pred (maybe the exception of scout) and not put it in second wind.

1 mag from a hammerhead, now that’s a different story

Either way Predators not with a Perk should be able to withstand anything! I mean we can kill damn engineers man!image

Pretty sure out of all those bullets they sprayed into the jungle they only ever hit him once which is why he ran up to the tree and healed. If he actually tanked those shots he’d of been green paste.

Theres a difference between trained
to kill Predators and first encounter with a predator.

No the original Predator was supposed to be op now with every movie they get weaker or at least the hunter species

That was never shown in the original film. The predator always had stealth and superior alien tech on his side and as a result had the upper hand. While they are stronger than humans a bullet is still a bullet and they can’t take more than a few before they’re brought down.

Yautja are highly resilient to physical damage, capable of recovering from multiple gunshot wounds with minimal or even no medical attention[12][11] and surviving radiation doses which would be fatal to humans.[11] They are also highly resilient to most bacteria and viruses.[13] They are incredibly strong, easily capable of outmatching a conditioned adult human male in unarmed combat[12] and able to land blows that can shatter solid concrete. They are capable of tearing a human’s head and spine from the body with little effort,[7] while some larger specimens have even been seen to tear a human body in half using only their bare hands.[14]

Doesn’t make them bullet proof, just resilient.

Besides, even if they doubled the Pred health (which they won’t), good FT’s would still kill them, it would just take a little longer.

Skilled Yautja can kill anybody look at Big Mama 😂

I distinctly remember that the first movie pred only got hit once in that scene. They’ve gotten more resilient with each movie.

EU Yautja are actually ridiculous, Dachande (My boy) is the first yautja to ever beat a Xeno in h2h barefisted combat, Smiley kills a queen in CqC, they are literally faster than bullets, here’s a quote from South China Sea about them:

The predator came out of the spaceship again, in full armour. Gustat had a clear shot, and the ArmaLite AR-50 wasn’t a joke. He would probably make a dent in the Predator’s armour, maybe even several dents. Possibly kill him, although the creatures reflexes were so freakishly fast that Gustat doubted it, not without a chance at a headshot sans helmet.

here’s another from Cold War:

The spear was snatched from his back by a shadowy, indistinct figure and the second man let loose with his AK-47, spraying bullets at the barely glimpsed spear-wielding killer. The thing moved so fast it almost seemed to be dodging the bullets as it turned and ran back down the canyon. The Russian charged after it, bellowing.

. . .

The creature holding the spear seemed to side-step the bullets easily. Then it jabbed the spear forward, and Gunin no longer worried about spikes or bullets, or anything else as the thing cut his heart out with a single quick gesture. After that, the alien disappeared, blurring into invisibility

. . .

“Those things are fast enough to dodge bullets, if they see them coming,” Schaefer explained, "and even if you hit them, they’re damn near bulletproof.”

- Cold War

Realistically, especially if we go by the AVP lore the higher ranking elite Predators would be so broken gameplay wise it would be unfair to FT. They would dodge all your puny bullets and pin you to a wall with the spear, even if they did take your pesky shotgun to the face it would do nothing:

Let’s say you bring the bigger guns:

you would just piss him off. But alright alright, I mean at least missiles can do something to them… right?

sorry forgot to tag you, what I posted is a response to your quote

I can pull up the comic where a bear kills a pred, if you want.

The important part here is that no matter how powerful they are, they aren’t tanks. They can be brought down easily if actually hit. And especially in the EU, it gets more and more ridiculous how they just don’t get hit.

I have seen the comic with the “Judo Bear” as I call it. Thing uses fucking martial arts, blocks his attacks. Regardless, that hunter was honestly a bit of a retard, in the novel “Turnabout” by Steve Perry a single Predator dances around a Kodiak Bear and slashes it to ribbons. There are numerous showings of Predators being retards, the guy from “Predator: Hunters and Hunted” has trouble with a single Florida alligator, but I chalk that up to the skill of the hunter, not the weakness of the species itself

Well, you see, that does make my point. The bear, when it hits the pred, does significant damage to it. Sure, a good pred can dance around a bear and avoid getting hit while killing it, but that’s the key here, avoid getting hit, not shrugging off deadly attacks like its nothing.

That’s just power creep, happens whenever a property exists long enough.

Still, the Predator’s condition did not yet warrant self-destruct. He had been hurt worse and emerged victorious. Once on a planet half a galaxy away, a venomous metal worm twice his size had shot up through the earth and pinned him through the chest armour. The Predator had chopped its head off, cut off its tail, and gone on to fight for another four hours with the rest of the worm inside his chest, before withdrawing to repair the damage. The wheeze as its breathing grew worse indicated deep-tissue damage, but nothing irreversible. Medical care on board its ship would allow it to recover.

I don’t write the books dude. I just read em

shrug

It appears we have come to an impasse due to the wide variety of the EU. I put the average pred lower, more on par with the movie, with the ones doing these fantastical feats as soloing a queen are more plot armoured and akin to a B action movie lead (Like Arnold in Commando)

You’re more on a higher lever, making the EU pred leads closer to the average, and the ones which aren’t perfect and unstoppable are just exceptionally bad. In this case, its just a difference of perspective, a subjective viewpoint.

Yes OP, its because Mac did not get to put those 200 rounds into the predator. So its already implemented, jump around and don’t get hit. More so from a damn minigun!
