WristBlades - 60, WarClub - 125, wut? O.o

wait, Protection is for the mask!.. with it good luck killing me too fast and disarming the bomb…
are you sure it doesn’t stack with impenetrable?.

So are the numbers in the files, and I was wandering why everyone on Twitch was slaughtering people with the Wristblades and I can’t kill them with Axe’ secondary and Ghost with 3 hits anymore…
edit: the Warclub third attack is 125…
Maybe that guy was a fan of the first movie only… :)

it doesn’t

Impenetrable provides damage reduction for bullet damage types

Protection reduces the damage to the mask, which has its own independent HP (which has nothing to do with the HP bar)).

doesn’t work that way.

You have to look at the FT class files. I explained this to @Schoolboy_Skeptik

wristblades damage is 60HP, yes, but FT classes only take 50% of that damage

Understanding damage in this game is complicated, because you have different balances for every damage

FT self damage
FT to FT damage (clash)
FT to Pred Damage
FT to NPC damage
Pred Self damage
Pred to FT damage
Pred to Pred damage (clash)
Pred to NPC Damage
NPC to Pred damage
NPC to FT damage

Each character class (FT, NPC and Pred) has it’s own ā€œarmorā€ for every damage type. And there are many, many damage types

Thanks, I’ll look into those… and I was wandering why I have to make the NPCs with 300% HP so they can feel like players…

NPC’s are stupid.

They take only 30% damage from pistols and assault rifles but 230% damage from shotguns.

This is why going by damage numbers for weapons is not enough, specially if only tested against pred. Once you start testing between FT to FT and FT to NPC everything becomes apparent that shit just don’t match, because the whole configuration is a mess.

To fully visualize everything we need a graph with multiple curves, not only for the damage of each weapon, but for the damage from each weapon to each faction, in order to visualize which weapons are truly ā€œthe best overallā€ā€¦ even if it is ā€œon paperā€

I’m preparing a document to show all that, but the more I dig in the more I realize how messed up it is, and how in the end, it may not even be worth it

Oh, that’s right. These numbers confused me. I saw in one match the recon without an armor perk received even 25 HP of damage from the Hunter class. So WarClub is still 87 because of the multiplier.

exactly. it’s just messed up. weapons stats vary because npc, preds and fts have different multipliers to take that damage

Predator Weapons

put the multipliers in… got this…

Predator Class Specializations

p.s.
Assassin is the best… to beg people to show their butts… rofl

Predator Perks

Because of these direct numbers, could I get some assistance on a custom modifier? I’m trying to make it so the PMC ai enemies have similar stats to the FT players.

Human Statts

mutipliers are different for every weapon, so depending on the weapon, different multiplier, and shoot in the body cause they have 3-7 Headshot multi
p.s. consider the empty 1.0

That you. I’ll start working on it. Do the ai weapons count as ft weapons?

not sure… there are different damages for the Predators armor multipliers

See now I’d love to rework all of my concepts according to this data but am hesitant considering the complexity of the presented data and the general intelligence, or lack thereof, of the typical PHG player. I’m not sure it’d make sense to the average person, despite the data being displayed easily and carefully. And it’s not like the forum gets a lot of traffic these days anyway…

If the way you play now still works for you, don’t change it…
if something stopped working for you, you can find a replacement…
for example the axe’ secondary attack is near useless now… maybe the primary with Brute is better idea… actually this may be the only use for Brute…

Hence the responses from people like FairYautja

TBF, I don’t think is worth it either, not because of its complexity, but because in general we have tried everything and we know what the best weapons are already. Finding the most ā€œoptimal weaponā€ may not be the best approach because in general, you will not be fighting ā€œan optimal matchā€. You don’t know if you will be playing with potatos or decent players, against a potato or a decent pred, against a few AI or a horde of them.

After digging through all these I realized this is more like playing fantasy football.

So bring the HH with the 1011 and may the lord have mercy of the pred skulls you’ll collect
