Predator is supposed to be OP that's the Point

Leaping and crouch walking. The growl is supposed to be intimidating, I don’t think it gives your exact location away.

Tells the fireteam he is there and depending proximity if it’s loud it’s easy to assume he is pretty darn close where as ‘stalkers’ are silent

Your right its not a horror game and it is an asymmetrical multiplayer. But Friday the 13 and DBD both borrow aspects of horror game design to make these kind of games unique multiplayers. In those games you don’t wanna ever see the killer player come after you. The game makes it apparent that you will lose to give you a rush of adrenaline. These games aren’t pvps. Your not supposed to be able to go mono A mono with the killer because then there’s no reason to complete the objective which btw is for the team to escape! Not head hunt the killer. That’s the fun I had as Fireteam in the beta when no one knew how to corn the predator because I was afraid of the predator. Now I know how easily I can kill him or her so it’s just turned into…well not so Predator.

i think they should buff him insanely good to the point he is scary. But nerf fire team but increase the size of the fire team to 8 but then they add in new mechanics to make the game more scary. Like when u first play fr3th. when i played that the first time i was scared but this no

I know what ya mean. I’m just using it as comparison to let ya know where the devs were coming from. They designed the game to be cat and mouse, not hack and slash. I just came across a pretty well balanced team, that was communicating, rocking grenade launchers and a mini gun and I was able to take them out. I believe it was 5 or 6 of em after they called in a respawn. I just had to pick em off one by one. Bide my time and attack at the right moments. It was absolutely a challenge, but man was it fun.

It alerts them that your at-least nearby so they know to start looking. I’ve literally been spotted sitting in a tree motionless because my growl gave away my general position.

Nah that movie sucked ass because of the stupid upgrade knock off indo rex pred lol. Terrible humor, shitty actors and story. But god those pred dogs 😵. At least in concrete jungle you can grab a human and carry him away and skin his ass or rip him half lol. Speaking of which where are all the different kill animations you do as the predator? getting bored of seeing the same one over and over

We’re not saying that. But if he’s so easy to spot then what use is the cloak?
Also how are they spotting him? There is no tech available to humans in that time period that can see him.

When you shoot a charged shot and it does fuck all damage how are you supposed to even kill one guy? And if you manage to kill one he just gets resurrected. That is pure bullshit. How does a person that is melted able to magically revive?

I think the game is rather balanced actually, I have a lot more Fire Squad eliminations than loses. The learning curve on Predator is definitely huge but with enough practice reliable. Patients while playing is important and using the plasma caster to grind them down before a big engage is important. In fact most of my wins happen from using the plasma caster a lot and then a well timed slam to a 4v1 brawl as the Hunter class Predator. Hit and run tactics also work amazing to take down a single unit that loses his position. Use the Net Gun a lot in brawls to reduce some of the damage and Elder Sword to close distance. Also per the lore, since I see people are talking about it a lot here… Every Predator dies in its respective movie… Also this takes place after the 2018 as we are playing as OWLF from Predator 2, and the NPC’s are from the Stargazer group that failed in the 2018 The Predator. I would say that the Hunter Class Predators health feels like is can get reduced fast, but mostly in open brawls or impatient executions. Eat pigs, use medication and you might be alright… I have only had a couple games were the fire team put me on the run (Which happens in Predator 2 and The Predator) but still won those by running out the clock, which is a win for Predator if he has any kills. Also Predator is 100% invisible if standing still, I have juked a ton of people with it.

Also the point of Yautja society is to be challenged not dominate. Kills again weak harmless opponents will never earn you the respect of an Elite or Elder Yautja or a Mate. In fact a huge part of Yautja culture is making impressive kills so you can mate with the most females and vice versa . Its common for Elite Hunters to have up to 80 offspring.

I generally agree that a maxed level fire team and the base hunter, only, are close to balanced. Many fireteam guns are too weak to be viable however.

Well I only use QR-4 and Grimtech 19 and do very well with those starter weapons. I have unlocked a lot of attachments for them tho. So I am not an expert of all the fine details, I am glad you agree :) The big thing here is Illfonic put out a statement showing that the win/lose ratio of Predator/Fire Team is close to even. I just am afraid of big nerf/buffs that could ruin the already very fun game.

The matches are way too short so it forces the Predator to rush before the time runs out.
This game lacks the the time needed to actually hunt

I think the only buff that is needed is to make the predator completely silent. No clicks, no hearing vision mode or invisibility changes. When fireteam hear the predator, they become more alert, guarded and they look constantly in the trees/surrounding area. And footsteps in the trees should be completely silent, but not on the ground.

This change would allow the predator to stalk his prey, and watch and plan an attack without being sniped in the face by a .30 cal bullet. And would allow him to strike first at the perfect opportunity when he see’s an opening.

And you have to realize even at the end that movie was designed for Dutch to win and I believe he was just a young blood Predator anyways so they die on the first hunt anyways irl just like the man said they are the apex predators ain’t no human going to kill nothing like this. There ghosts in the trees you can relate them to leopards you’ll never see a leopard in the jungle and by the time you do is mouth to be around your skull

The growls he makes are definitely for intimidation but that only works when he’s actually intimidating, being so easy to kill it doesn’t work.
More needs to be done, spot mechanic either needs to be completely reworked or taken out entirely, plasma caster damage needs and increase and if they refuse to buff Predator’s health or endurance then the extra damage to Predator perk needs to go.
Just to name a few things.

Nah man it’s just plot Armor lol the hero has to win. movie trope 101

That’s what I’m saying though and these movies they’re always going to make the humans win.
