Predator Lore

This part explains they didn’t genetically engenieered the Hish to become bigger and stronger, instead they picked the biggest and strongest among them and later improved them with chemicals that pushed their physical peformace.

The lore didn’t stated genetic alteration through chemical use, like pumping female Hish to modifiy the physiology of the fetus, only that they used PED on them. Sure it COULD be genetic through chemicals, but when speaking of “improved athletes”, you often speaks of anabolic steroids.

Selective breedeing + steroids / hormones / shit tone of columbian cocaine… no adding DNA from other species! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Damn, kind of sad to know Predators sequels would had handled this much better then The Predator. Well, atleast the released version of The Predator didn’t helped, the original cut makes the genetic thing more like a “civil war” kind of thing.

Yes that’s what I was trying to tell you, at first when the amengi were in charge but afterwards they just collect trophies

Actually it is genetics because your saying it’s breeding so are you saying Predators are just $&@ around to make a perfect Predator

Just like uncle Hitler did with his hitler yungen!!! Sick but better then this 2018 crap XDDDDDD

So basically what your saying is…this game is not canon cuz it has ties with the movie and so are the Predators and we all have wasted time and money on this game

…hitler yungen style space fucking among Yautja!!!

Concept art is usually better than the final product. Usually issues with implementation or its just not practical and they find an easier design to use.

So, it sounds like the Amengi used selective breeding, like domesticated animals and plants by humans.

Even if they used chemicals to change the DNA of Yautja, that is still way different than the idea that they would take DNA from trophies of their prey. As someone already pointed out, they could just extract some blood for that. It gets even worse when you consider that alien life would probably have a different molecular structure to their DNA and/or the DNA of other planetary life, such as from earth, would not be analogous in any way to the phenotypic alleles found in Yautja DNA.

It dose not say they breed them in the lore only chemically enhanced which is chemical genetics

Regardless, as I explained, that is a much different thing than what the 2018 movie used as a plot device, and stealing DNA still makes no sense, for the reasons I already explained.

So maybe the Amengi gave them stimulates during their mating to breed till they got a hish?

Those are amengi, not Yauyja… or hitler yungen or Hitler himself…

Exactly my (and every one else in fact) point. Yet this little individual claims that I claim that this game is not canon quz it supports preds genetically modifing themselfs quz Alpha pred… I mean for the love of fuck…

Allright. After looking at that image I now know why people want the fugitive predator in the game.

I think i just suffered brain death reading that. What utter nonsense.

The alpha pred is a fun little peice of real life predator history returning to light so real fans of the movies have something to recognize.

Nothing more.
Predator is best when its not trying to explain everything.

Which i know triggers the collective autism of many fanboys, but convoluted ‘lore’ doesn’t contribute much to the stories of the movies and at best serves as a mask for ‘the rule of cool’ in videogames and comics.

Just my two cents but i like my pred movies and stories concise.

Despite your toxic, antagonistic, arrogant, and belittling way of speaking, I agree with you. However, just because the Pred movies and stories should be concise, doesn’t mean there isn’t lore behind it all.

If the next DLC Pred is wearing bits of star wars armour and can do the superman pose and fly like superman and nothing is explained, people will be confused. Most fans won’t like it because it doesn’t fit in with the lore. You don’t need to make a story convoluted for it to be bad. Its just that the more convoluted it becomes, the more opportunities it has to all fall apart, so it usually does.

“Real fans” of the franchise like it more than on a superficial level. Its a sign of a good movie and antagonist that people want to know more about them. You can enjoy the movie all you want, its a good movie, but other people enjoy it so much that they want more than the tease the movie gave us.

That’s why this thread is arguing. They are trying to figure out what happened with the little lore they were given, yet not associate it with the awful movie, both for the lore and as a movie by itself, The Predator. Let them try to figure it out, and leave your attitude out of it.

I always thought it was like the concept of Terrence Mckenna’s archaic revival. To wit, Yautja culture became so advanced in tech that they regressed in culture. For example, the rise in tattoo and rave culture in modern times is a re-emergence of ancient patterns among aboriginals due to technology. Or how people today tend to go online and gravitate towards creating their own tribal connections via joining forums lol.
