I can’t attest to the accuracy of the lore, but I acknowledge that Shane Black’s The Predator is hated. Me personally, I enjoyed the antics of the Fugitive Predator, and though the execution of the whole gene splicing schtick was god awful, the idea was pretty cool. I’m not at all defending the movie, but it did have some unique concepts that were just poorly used.
Alpha was “space Drago”, no genetic alteration, just centuries of perfect individuals breeding that resulted into the biggest, strongest and smartest individual, that was later pumped with roids and other substances to improve physical prowess.
His life is pretty much this

Ok I redacted the genetic enhancement of the Predator race by the amengi even though without it they wouldn’t have become the Predators and makes sense psychologically because they now use the same method to make themselves stronger when it was used for their slavery to fight and was entertainment I mean even the engineers did this 😐
Tbh - Amengi did mess with Hish genetics but not in the way The Predator depicts it, they selectively breed them in to stronger and more aggressive predators ;-) That’s how Yautja race was established. No one will ever going to convince me that Yautja are hunting humans for good DNA and that is the only reason for collecting spines (like a single drop of blood would do the job if that would be the case). Also, why the hell Harrigna was spared after defeating Ghost in front of the whole clan?! Isn’t his DNA of some value then? No no no, no genetics, DNA alternations and hunting for autistic children - Shane black was high as fuck when he wrote the script – who ever approved it had more cocaine and LSD mixed together than Godzilla can shit out.

I’m not saying I liked the movie if you read my bio, I only liked 3 of the movies, example: Predator 1, Predators (3) and AVP but it’s sci fi, not only humanity but aliens do genetic engineering, which is why I brought up the engineers, it’s the next step in evolution and it’s poetic, before the Hish became the Yautja they were weak, they didn’t space travel and had low tech, now look at them! freakin awesome hunters of the universe, now imagine if that happens to humanity, we will become…the hunters

Amengi selectively breed Hish to create a bigger, stronger and more aggressive race for gladiator style fighting. That is how Yautja came to be.
Think of Wolfs for example. Humans did no genetic engenerring on them at all, we have just selectively breed them in to chiwawas… WAIT, WRONG EXAMPLE!!! But you get what I’m saying. That’s essentially how Hish became todays Yautja. There was no alternation of genetic material, so Yautja have no need or desire to change their genom to upgrade. Lets just pretend 2018 never happened XD

There must have been alterations to the genome, the Hish were 4 legged. Not to different from some of the Pred Hounds that have been shown, Pred Hounds that bleed red I might add. The genetic tampering is likely the reason for their glowing green blood.
On top of that I believe the Yautja still take part in the chemical augmentation the Amengi preformed on them. Taking chemical argumentation as they prove themselves worthy of it.

No but seriously, chemically dose not mean genetically - It could be steroids, all sorts of hormones to grow muscle, but in general selective breeding is the only logical option… I hope XD

Hounds from Predators? This is an domesticated alien species, not from Yautja prime - they bleed red so obviously they breath oxygen (logical to use a oxygen dependant alien hound on a planet with oxygen atmosphere, rather than something breathing methane) also they have normal snouts, without any mandibles, so not related to life forms from Yautja Prime (yes, by logic of evolution every thing from Yautja prime that has a spine will have some form of mandibles – just like every organism with a spine on earth has a pair of eyes, pair of ears, nose and a mouth). They are most likely long extinct, ancient earth life forms, game preserve moon has many of them anyway (extinct plants and animals). So no – not related to Yautja, just breed and trained by them for hunting XDDDD

Here’s some production art.
I never said they had to be related, only that they could have been. The Hish were Quadrupeds. Some Pred Hounds are drawn with similar features. It’s entirely possible the Hish still exist.
