Nah the splash damage is a bit op at the moment and thereā€™s no way you can lose doing it lol thatā€™s cheap imo. Playing range is more bow and smart disc, sometimes the handheld caster but no one uses that anymore.

The splash isnt op.
Literally the other day I got my masked sniper off and the last guy hid and ran the timer out.

You really have to know how to safely and effectively use the pc.

Bout the only thing I feel is cheap or lame,
Is the spear throw only style, or bow hopping style.

Thatā€™s just me tho.
However, I do love jumping around with the handheld pc.
Thats looks cool and Is fun, you look like zero from megaman zero.

Noo, I do reluctantly say the splash damage is a bit much. Anyone can easily end a match in 2-3 mins just by spamming the caster. With long range, fireteam can be dead on sightā€¦

I say reluctantly because itā€™s such an integral part of every predators arsenal, but I feel like maybe they should buff direct hit damage again and nerf splash. Itā€™s just a bit too easy, and thereā€™s no way to counter it either.

Yeah I got a build that utilizes infinite cloaking and the handheld caster so teams can never keep up even when Iā€™m right on top of them lol

I strongly disagree.
I was here when the splash was pretty shit, and it sucked lol.

The way I look at is, is an explosion.
It literally has the Same range as the grenade.
So Iā€™d say itā€™s pretty fair.

As for an ft dying that quickly to it, it would only be an ft that werent trying or arent good.
Because if youā€™re just shooting that pc only, that mask is coming off vs a good ft.

A bit off topic but like Iā€™ve been saying for months now, we cant judge these things based off lower skill ft players.
Because anything will be extremely effective on them.

But as for me I Badically just try to change Things up and use what the occasion calls for.

For a while I Used range only style, which was ok, but kinda boring for me, cause i hate being limited to only range or melee.

Itā€™s not really fair considering fireteam doesnā€™t have an infinite amount of explosives. Iā€™ve been here since the beginning too, it wasnā€™t that difficult to land hits but I dunno about it being an instant down.

If not nerfing the splash, maybe increasing the energy needed for full shots.

Shoulder Cannon is pretty annoying. Iā€™ve seen Youtubers spam that thing like crazy and kill off an entire fireteam within 2-5 minutes.

I actually like that idea of making the shoulder Cannon consuming more energy for shots

Thereā€™s gotta be some kinda fix because itā€™s just not balanced to be able to spam it and ruin a team on sight. I admit without shame thereā€™s times fireteam was getting the better of me and I said fuck it, turned on pump up the jam, and just sat in a tree blowing loads of plasma down on a totally defenseless gang of try hards turned potatoes.

As I said, itā€™s a necessity to the predator, but I really think itā€™s gotta have more balancing. I love the splash too but if itā€™s gonna be so punishing, at least make it consume more energy. Fireteam needs to get a kick in the ass sometimes but at the moment the plasma caster is an abrasive dick slap to all in its wake. Only honorable predators refrain from its temptation.

Iā€™ve heard ppl have more of a problem with non charged shots tbh.

The best compromise ive heard was to lower the splash range for non charged shots.
But considering Iā€™ve played against teams and ppl who can shut pc spam down, I dont consider it a problem.

Its more a problem for newer/ lower skill players.
Idk right now pred needs whatever they can get.
