Im curious what type of strategies does everybody use as the predator?
Predator strategies
Most predators use the run away from the fireteam strategy.
I usually try and quick claim 3 players early so they use there back up and then wipe all for long claims 7 kills i usually get around 14k xp per match but it depends on the fireteam sometimes if it seems like a pre made of all pc team im much more cautious in my approach
Scout: Hit and Run
Hunter: Hit and Run
Zerk: Hit and Run
I hoped this helped OP
You just wait till you see them in your Pred vision or the sound they make, then catch the one who strays from his team and either melee him till he’s down or set traps afterwards, I personally wait then strike the one who is reviving his team mate since he will be to focused on his buddy, but if they are covering him, use the spear and throw it to temporary blind them, then unleash a volley of plasma until the guy downed and the guy reviving him are both downed, then you got two claims unless the last two are still there, it’s kinda by experimenting really, there is no real one way to hunt in this game but the ones I gave are just examples.
Battle axe.
Idk if this is valid because when I actually get around to playing, I just do quickplay (whih usually lumps me with either a deathsquad or a sack of potatoes), but my strat is just cut em’ with the sickle, claim them when they’re down and basically general slaughter. If I do get a deathteam (which is rare) I attempt to shoot them with the bow but my aim sux so I end up using the axe generally.
Elder: GTFO and hope you survive
Alpha: Grab the hook and fuck em’ up
Dat about it.
If you get a pc deathsquad, just dick em’ around trying to kill you until the level timer runs out. PS squads, if you’re good, you may stand a chance of beating.
Don’t forget stand still and shoot, works every time except when it doesn’t.
Yep that’s just about it. @Dutch1, your search for the truth is now 100% complete.
Actually there’s one more strat: by a pc and wreak mass destruction and cause both physical and mental pain to all the PS users.
Sounds like fun but i only have a ps4 and i can’t buy a pc.
Good.
Ran into CptClutch’s team last night, I need a lot more experience with difficult teams because hooboy…that was rough. I downed their Dante field medic (twice, he was not a happy person post-match), but I couldn’t score another down or kill. I died, but only voluntarily, otherwise I was just going to let the timer run or they exfil.
In terms of strategies, I’m trying to learn how to use Hunter with the bow/combi/down range, the same build PC pros like Sam and Thunderwolf have used. I used this build against Clutch and its a good teaching tool getting wrecked like that, because it showed I need more practice with combi throws and arrow timing (gotta jack up my ADS speed too). I use Sam’s trick of killing a downed FT with arrows instead of claiming (apparently I was a “pussy” for doing this, even after I pointed out the logical reason why I did, but whatever ok), as you’re always in motion so you’re a little harder to hit.
Side note, for other PS4/5 users: do the adaptive triggers make a difference in your bow shots? When I played on 4 I could spam arrow shots easy, like you see PC players do. On 5 I have to draw the bow back for a second or two before I can launch the arrow, if I let go too soon it negates the shot.
I always ADS and Fire with the bumpers. Triggers have too long of a pull.
Who tf is captain clutch? What kind of strat did he use? If they are snipers, a melee build works exceptionally well (because running when they damage you is what lets them get the advantage). Grenade spammers, idk. If they have a structured team (e.g. a sniper/spotter, a parryer, etc) you would be surprised at how killing the main damage-dealer cripples the team. If they have a dedicated spotter, slaughter them before anything else and claiming the dude right in front of the feild medic generally isn’t that bad, considering the time it takes them to realise what’s going on.
Ahhh, that explains it. I’ll need to dink around with the custom controls then later. Because that delay in pull is extremely costly.
I may have to try that one of these days. Generally I reserve L1/R1 for mortal shell, but i’ll give it a try.
In my opinion, triggers are only useful in racing games for brake and acceleration.
