Shorten the timer on the predators self-destruct sequence or make a bigger radius for the blast because when I set it off there is so much time for the fireteam to get away from the blast because the countdown takes too long. What is the point of having the self-destruct sequence if they can get out of the radius and live… make them fully kill the predator and stop the countdown timer on his wrist watch

Just don’t die. Seriously though it doesn’t matter as once you’re down it’s game over for you. If you want to be that petty so you can see the people that killed you die then put on protection on a berserker so the next time they kill you it’ll take all four of them to get it off you.
The matter of fact that no matter what I do I get downed either way and it needs to be fixed just like all the other bugs in the game… tell me what is the point of having that feature if it does not do anything in game
Well, 5 sec in the front of pred body probably will kill you. But yeah, peoples can easily run or just disarm the bomb (all veterans can).
I suggested a perk which will (or/or):increase bomb radius/decrease timer/makes disarming harder/gives a chance to blow a bomb in 5 seconds
But…nobody on this forum cares. Just live with this, nothing will change, they don’t care about community suggestions or problems
The point is that the bomb is just a gimmick that’s there to remind you that this is what predators do when they lose. After you’ve been downed that’s it you lost, there’s nothing that will change that. The only thing you get out of that is self satisfaction like “yeah I got you haha, I still lost but you all died too”.
Is that Counts as win for pred ? -_-
The best you can hope for is a draw, technically if you get all four in the blast it’s a pred win but it’s not a win anyone should want or be proud of simply due to the fact that the FT is being punished for you dying.

This “win” may be a part of some “Honor”(or something like this) pred progression mechanics but cmon, they will not implement this

As a game mechanic it’s absolutely awful so the fact that it has zero influence on the game is good
Use more durable Predators and or the mask perk. Activate it before they reach you. If you know you’re going down jump somewhere.
Do not rush players to begin with. Your stronger than they are but don’t bring a knife to a gun fight. Stay mobile and don’t fight head on. You shouldn’t have to self destruct to begin with. The most successful hunters don’t need a mini nuke.

Dutch didn’t make it in the first movie, he was just lucky enough bits of jungle could shelter him from the blast which is why he’s radioactive.
In Predator 2 Harrigan deactivated it by cutting off City Hunter’s arm in the process deactivating the explosive.
Nobody in the films ever actually escaped outside AVP.

He was covered by bits of jungle debris like a log. Same reason Scarface survives in concrete jungle. Dutch was just far enough away and under enough debris it didn’t matter. It’s why he’s still in the crater when the chopper comes to get him. Of course he lives but it’s why he’s in a hospital later because he became radioactive from the blast.

I like that idea. Adding a perk would be great to increase radius or shorten the timer.
Its a meme bonus minigame after preds already died
it doesnt need any perks added to encourage dying.
But until they defuse it - you still in the game technically. Why not ? I would like to see some “surprise” perk for bomb disabling feature. Example: when you finish a minigame first time - it resets back to zero one time.
Also I would like to decrease number of ft members which can disarm bomb at the same time (1 ft can try to do it, not all of them at the same time )

Let’s ignore the fact that there’s places Pred can jump on that FT can’t reach like certain huts on backwater as well as the building across the radar, sniper towers on overgrowth, and the trains on derailed.
Let’s also ignore the fact that Pred can equip adrenal, protection, and leaper, and activate the bomb far away from the squad.
As a gameplay mechanic it hinges the entire match on a minigame completely unconnected to the actual gameplay or skill of the Pred
It’s far more likely the devs messed up when they made win challenges only work on defuses since we know they’re incompetent
Just make it so the dead and defused predator can choose another one of their loadouts to attempt to recover the dead body from the OWLF
