Jelou did too you good, you just don’t know what’s in front of you
Preliminary Fireteam weapon testing
one needs to explain that this is actually the default predator health numerical. Not a hit point, not a health parameter, …needs a HP in paranthesis and then explaination. As 1000 is not the default for all classes is that correct? and by using HP while using the ingame terminology, its not as helpful to understand as this HP is common in many games and is not necessarily the same in all.
Nah
yes, ive always had a really wierd probablem with the way people describe things in game and often times health is thought of as percentages, not a points and HP sometimes gets mixed up with percentage.
It is not. I am simply stating that is a hard coded value on the HP Armor function in the game.
Pred class can have 1600 HP or 1200 HP, doesn’t matter. The curve will have no effect until it reaches 1000.
The fact that those values exist yet have a value of 1 (no stat modifier) means that very likely either on a previous version of the game or during development/testing, that entry had a different value than 1.
Why don’t you take notes from us instead, you always say dumb shit but when we actually get results and know our own literature very well and put it into practical usage you can base that off of results
You’re free to go off and figure the shit out on your own
Well now this is gold you guys are digging up. If you guys have any more information to share, I’m eating that shit right up. Lay it on me.
Those screen shots show tribal knowledge and shouldn’t be taken as a professional documentation usage. Just because you see it, doesn’t mean its the best practice.
I see it used, but i don’t want to see it. Its defunct and half assed.
Where’s your findings and documentation for this game
sorry bro, i don’t do docs for this game.
but I’ve seen people do cloud documentation ON NOTEPAD! and they don’t have prescribed roles as documentation writers. they are just doing it because of time.
and the doc writers slice and dice them, rewrite their shit properly in full without shortcuts.
Because people write in Full. The coded parts are in parenthesis.
@MassImpact124 you also need to understand that a lot of this data are CURVES and not linear functions. Curves do not have a 1-1 linear match. If you try to understand the data as a linear table you’ll head will end up exploding because it won’t make any sense.
Sounds like a personal problem
at least your helping to explain stuff! :)
nonon … its a you thing. this is all funny guys. to me.
I’ve seen you guys make elaborate spreadsheets, so i’m assuming somewhere is a better depiction of numbers of stuff.
@MassImpact124 For you to understand how the curves work, and how complex it will quickly become if you want to put it on a table instead, this would be the math involved:
500-400 = 100
1 - 0.95 = 0.05
0.05/100 = 0.0005
At 499 HP pred damage has a modifier of 1 - 0.0005
At 498 HP pred damage has a modifier of 1 - (0.0005)*2
At 497 HP pred damage has a modifier of 1 - (0.0005)*3
…
At 401 HP Pred damage has a modifier of 1 - (0.0005)*99
Do you get it now?
I’m going to go party with those other guys now.
I have some docs about unreal engine literature yes but it’s mostly personal documents
I’m going to go party with those other guys now.
Over by …under that bridge.
is better if you just ask what you want me to look. I have a pretty good idea of the stuff I have found, though I have not memorized every value. Some stuff I’m still looking for. Some things are pretty easy to look for because they are in a file under an obvious filename. Some other values are pretty much buried in a file that has a lot of generic and/or unrelated shit and we stumble upon that stuff out of shear luck or chance
Other stats you may be interested in
Melee (equip knife and do normal melee) 125
Melee Quick (pressing melee button while another weapon/gear is equipped) 100
Melee Heavy (equip knife and do a heavy melee attack) 190
So, support melee has a base damage of 190*1.08=205.2 for a heavy melee attack. If you add bane, 190 * 1.08 * 1.10 = 225.72 … it takes about 6 heavy attacks to second wind a regular pred… this is why 4 supports/dutches rushing to a pred with a heavy melee attack is a death sentence. They will drain its HP to 0 in less than 2 slices each.
Personally I have a lot of offbrand resources up in the air like finishing a mechanic dictionary, input dictionary, boolean dictionary, game flow chart, terminology and literature identification
My issue is motivation right now
