What the actual fuck. Do you even comprehend just how BADLY Alien is fucked right now. Ridley Scott has destroyed everything, heâs completely screwed it all up and the only thing that can ever save Alien now is to actually erase Prometheus & Covenant and everything in them from canon. Scottâs damage will haunt us for decades. At least Predator gets fucking damage control for 2018, at least it doesnât have to suffer in the hands of an old man well past his prime who has been seething that Cameron did it better than him for 40 years.
The timeline is fubar, so it doesnât work. Also, they are and were under the same house for their entire lives. Pred does not get to redefine the Alien canon in any capacity.
Alienâs canon is funnier than Predâs. Literally depends as of now on how fucking drunk Ridley is while coming up with ideas, he is one random fellow. He can do another 180 like he did from Prometheus to Covenant and unfuck everything he did out of nowhere. He is unpredictable.

It destroyed decades of worldbuilding, of lore. EVERYTHING was fucked by it. It tried to give answers to questions we didnât ask, made us ask more in their place, completely fucked up the Xenomorphs, fucked the art style & technology of the world, it ruined everything and all because some old fart has been bitch mad for years that everybody liked Aliens more. Scott is a fucking menace & danger to everything he touches, I would be greatful to know he doesnât go anywhere near this franchise for the rest of his miserable life.
Xenos werenât created by David until WELL after the AvP films, which were set in the early 2000s. Yet Preds had captive Xenos. Nonsense. However, if Preds in AvP had access to time/space distortion tech, that would close that loophole with a huge chunk of plot armor, but they donât.
Turning the space jockey into a suit being used by humans from space. Hijacking the alien series to some ancient astronauts scientologist propaganda movie nonsense since Ridley Scout literally admitted to believing aliens assisted on human evolution so he had to put that on the movie.
Then trying to make the Alien the modern creation of an Android dealing with his personal issues and frustrations, retconing decades of other entries.

Scott has no fucking clue what Alien is actually about or why people like it. Heâs practically a geriatric fumbling to be relevant again. A disgrace to the art of storytelling.

Okay, listen here, David didnât even create Xenomorphs. He created a Varient. I donât get why people donât get this. Weyland knew about the ship on LV_426 before Prometheus. (Prometheus Special Features).

Scott is a great director. Nothing more. Alien was a great classic cus that was all he was at the movie. The guy directing it. Not writer, not anything else. The ideas came from others.
I donât think that you understand. It doesnât matter if Davi created the xenos after avp because avp isnât canon in the alien universe. Predator universe has avp canon in it. Theyâre alternative universes form each other one only contains xenos and thatâs itâs own canon and the other contains both with its own canon that has no influence over aliens canon whatsoever.
He legit had to be told not to do dumb shit even back then. He wanted the original movie to end with the Drone killing Ripley then stealing her voice and using it to call for a Rescue ship. Thankfully back then people were around to tell him âNo.â Wish we had those now.

Funny the novelization mentioned it was a variant, and the Engineers had made alien egg previously as well.
Look, as the creator, he has the right to do what he wants with it. Thatâs like you saying Stan Lee couldnât change the Hulk from Grey to Green, or have Gwen Stacey killed off to make way for MJ Watson. You not liking it is fine, but your/my opinions are superfluous on the direction of the IP. Creators have to be able to create as they see fit, when itâs their creation.

Yeah and as a creator myself I think heâs a shit fucking storyteller. Heâs great as a director, as the guy behind the camera but never fucking let him actually pen a story.
Some people need to stay in their lanes. Even I have an assistant/editor because there is stuff I am not qualified for that he is.
Just because you know how to direct doesnât mean you know how to write, just cause you can write doesnât mean you can draw, just cause you can draw doesnât mean you can create music. And so on.
