I sure am. Of Alien, Aliens, Prometheus and Covenant. 3 and Resurrection stunk. Had a few good moments, but stunk like egg farts.

Prometheus & Covenant are not Alien movies. They actively work to undermine the universe and hate what came before them.
Um… all they do is define an origin of the species and the Engineers. Not undermine anything.

Alien was a lot about of the unknown of what could be out there. The Space Jockey, the Alien. How humanity can be so insignificant and small next to just bumping into a little of what’s out there.
But then Ridley came and well, humans made it all. Just went full human centric, its not about “Alien” its about humans.

I understand it just fine. But I’m not opposed to having an origin decades later.
That’s the Covenant part. But Android based on a male programed mind dealing with the fact he doesn’t have the body to match what he is. David is really human, its about a men dealing with personal frustration, creating a monster to deal with it. I do think the concept can be interesting on a stand alone level. But not as an origin story for the alien creature.

Perfectly fine concepts, keep them the fuck away from Alien it was never about any of that. Scott should’ve gone back to Bladerunner if he wanted to fuck something up with Androids.
