Also like, AVP only exists because Fox wanted to do a crossover thing between two iconic movie monsters (Ya know like what Universal was doing all throughout the 1920s & 1930s with its Monsterverse and THE ENTIRE KAIJU GENRE in Japan) and Dark Horse started making comics about the two fighting because they had the rights to use both and thought it’d be cool.

That’s fine, but it can’t take Alien and change its origin, which, if you believe AvP to be canon, it does. Therefore it’s nonsense. Pred and Alien must exist separately and only crossover for fun, non-canonical stories.

Its a game, everything on EU might not be intentionally retconned but if a director wants to do something on the movie that contradicts its fine for them. Movies come first.
The story has always been the strongest part of this game, its like the writers are the only ones earning their pay.

Why, being there for all these films (save Alien) as they happened in real time and following them all these years and seeing first hand how they were both fouled up in books, comics, etc. After Cameron’s magnificent close to the Ripley story line, it took Scott returning to make me not sad at the prospect of new stories. Pred NEEDS a win SOOOOOOOooooooooo badly.
Avp says nothing about the aliens origin all that happens is that predators have some xenos. Never said they created them they just captured them.
Dutch 2025 single handedly put this game out there, after CH and Samurai it went downhill

The day Scott retires or croaks, somebody will sweep in and save Alien and erase Prometheus & Covenant from canon. The nightmare will be over. Until then, Alien is basically dead in the water so long as anything in those two shitfests is given thought.
