Prey 2022 and the female lead hate train

You know Wolf not getting damaged often by the acid was something that was heavily criticized by aliens fans back when AVPR came? As well as him not wearing enough armor to deal with Aliens.

I remember the Strause Brothers said they planned on showing the acid but blamed it on the lack of money and time to do it. It was bs.

Agreed, bit it’s not just working hard. She has to face tough completion otherwise she won’t get any better than practice mode.

Maybe they could show her skills in hunting or there could be a surprise attack by rival tribe. It can’t be girls scout stuff.

Agreed with the last statement but you’re literally just wrong.

It literally does not fucking matter if a human, female or otherwise, can fight a Predator: we have seen they can die in CQC since 1991. 30+ years of established lore. A fundamental aspect of the universe. A universe which also houses actual Magic, and blood that will make you super human as well as Eldritch Bug monsters that want to bad touch you. Real world biology does not apply, its fiction: and it operates on its own very clearly established rules.

This is like complaining that Batman can perfectly knock out 30 dudes in unarmed combat in a row or that Goku can fly. Its a part of the fucking universe and always has been.

“Established lore”. The canon on the series is pretty loose. Most of the stuff on EU is made on its own without much regards if it contradicts each other. Cus the people in charge don’t give a shit, they cherry and pick all the time what is canon, retcon this, forget that. Canon is whatever they are trying to sell at people at moment. Fox never gave much shit about establishing a consistent lore over all those years. And Disney won’t as well.

I don’t like and see all entries as equal.

It was in the 2nd movie genius.

City was stabbed in his tummy off guard after being heavily damaged. That’s not a true win in a 1v1 human vs predator situation. He was winning it but plot. Also Predator tech was used.

Okay, Eloise is definitely a stranger concept. But I personally think it was handled better then than it could be handled now.

Bull fucking shit. What crack you smoking son.

“The plot did it.” No fucking shit, the plot also made Jungle die to a fucking log falling on his head like a looney tunes skit.

Son ? Really ? Easy there.

Agreed, the brothers jerked off Wolf so much, its such bs. But again that just enforces my point that shit slides for the Predator when it should be melted in close combat but when a human does so, then all of a sudden we got an issue. I’m not saying that they should every single time but when the rare moments of it happening, then there should be no problems long as the execution is done right. I’m not expecting a human to punch a xeno to death if thats your concern cuz then I agree thats stupid as hell.

Yeah and that’s the hope right, seeing how she goes through her training and displaying it in a way that is executed well.

He didn’t die from the log, heavy damage to the head, he wasnt killed, he was defeated and couldn’t continue to fight Dutch.

And that’s more of a true win then actually putting up a real fight and chopping off someone’s arm & gutting them?

It wasn’t a 1v1 win in a melee only combat situation. No. That’s not how Dutch defeated Jungle Hunter. That’s not how a human should defeat a Predator.

If you count the 2018 The predator as canon the 2 avp films are canon in the predator universe. Alien films are separate universe
