Mm, yeah, I can see that. I know they “supposedly” hate one another but hey, I’d imagine not everyone hates everyone.

Oh they hate each other to the bone, however some Super Predators or Hybrids are somewhat kind, even showing Honorable traits

Yes exactly that the core design can stay but add suttle differences. Hasnt that been the case with most predators weve seen? From JH all the way to wolf and the supers being the same but different where thier face was somewhat different but the base design was similar.
Im holding off 100% judgement til i see it all tho becaus the rest they got good. My gripes not with the armor or anything because that can change it was mainly with the the director admitting he changed the head and face for proportional reasons then the dreds mandables etc. Its gonna be a hit or miss at least imo
Because then why be predator movie at all if every director in the future will jus put thier “stamp” on thier version of the predator. Might as well be like that bootleg alien vs hunter knock off since the idea was basically the same but the base design was different.

Because the predator universe is alive.
Not every predator is the same and that’s what makes it great.
Imagine if every character was a Machiko.
Or if every pred was just JH. Even if the design is changed the universe is more flat.

It depends on the idea and the execution.
That rip off is bad. So is the predator.
But ghost was good. So was the first Machiko comic.
1st off what dies machiko have to do witj the predator design? And second i think you missed my point look at all the predators from the movies…nobody is saying they all have yo be JH otherwise yea that’s flat, but are the rest (minus the supers) the same or different?
Yea it can be good or bad which is why i said the face and all that will be a hit or miss because the rest of the design is spot on but the main focus of my point is the face and we already know the dreds are thin almost like hair which is lame already so the rest sits on the face and mandables. If the mandables suck (like avp) added with the almost hair like dreds then on top of that it doesn’t even look like a predator then that will ruin the whole design…for me at least. As I said many times I’m holding my full judgment til i see it all, but these things have me hesitant to praise it off the bat. If it is a shitty predator design it will feel like a “one or the other” type of deal where its like do you want a good predator movie with a shitty pref design or a badass predator design with a shitty movie.
Which brings it full circle of why they can never get it right either the movies are trash or the designs are trash. If that ends up being the case with this movie ill feel like they coulda played it safe and had this be about part of the elder from P2 story instead of being “bold” and gambling on ppl excepting a change of the iconic predator and again so I’m not misunderstood iconic predator doesn’t mean JH it means the base design.

I will agree though the for me at least the ace can completely ruin the whole design so far it looks great even with the different dreads and mandibles. Only thing that kind looked funny were the legs but it still a great design so far
