Yeah, my Astros A40 TR’s mic piece quit working and that’s a common thing> So, bought wireless Turtle Beach’s 700 Stealth for $150 and it has 2 different sound modes, multiple volume controls, solid mic piece that folds up into ear muff to mute the mic, 20 hours battery life, and decent audio. Solid metal bands too to extend it for head size and it’s also glasses friendly which helps me
That’s ironic because turtle beach is supposed to be the bargain bin option
I have standard ps4 ones and the games that let you activate surround sound ? It sounds spot on , so I’ve no idea what he hell the surround sound ones would sound like 😄
Not these, better quality ones, kinda like all make a cheaper affordable headset for casual players then they make expensive quality headsets for the more competitive players
To me it sounds like everything is either coming from the left or right 🤷
Those are audio ques, they help you tell which direction something is coming from. For example:
Cold War
my headset makes the sound louder to the left muff if they are running on my left side and vise versa for the right
If I am upstairs in a building it comes out of the bottom half of the muff’s if they are moving around down stairs top half if they are upstairs above me.
Basically makes a big difference in First person shooters

Well, for majority it helps vs just hearing sound at all times no difference much like standard stereo audio in most headsets
