Hopefully they listen to some of this stuff but idk. Considering they lowered full charge damage for shoulder cannon. Which I think is stupid. Extremely stupid. Thanks for taking the time to do everything you did man.

You did great, the cloaking though (where they need to fix properly) should be where if the pred is too far, you cant see him even if he moves. If heās close or at a 10-25 meters ahead of you, you should notice him even when he moves. The only thing that should expose him when heās taking distance is his muzzle flashes from PC and hand cannon or until his energy is drained.

Yeah i was pretty disappointed with the Predator weapon nerfs. Instead of keeping plasmacaster and combistick pretty much the same as most people wanted from this survey they nerfed it based on the opinions of a couple of people on the forums. I think their idea of balance is that they give something to the Predator, they take away something else to compensate. But they donāt seem to get that the Predator is way weaker than Fireteam, as most people agree in these results.
I feel like their changes are based on noob level skill players complaining that donāt understand the game at a higher level yet.

Ya they might be going off beginners or low skill players.
Another topic btw, is the problem with que times. They need to figure out a way to make it funner to play human, without making the humans too strong. Cause il be honest, human feels boring.
The best I can think of is add xenomorphs lol.
Oh and it makes me sad that hardly no one seemed to want a team up option with the ft if there was less than 4 players lol. A few matches ago I loaded up in a match with only 2 players on ft. So I just helped them do their mission. I ended up downing but not killing one of them though cause they kept shooting me even though I did my best to show i wasnt gonna attack lol.
I even tried to give em a chance to calm down by netting them to basically give em a straight jacket cause they were acting crazy xD. They bleed out but the dude who didnt shoot me made it out alive lol.
But thatās just me. I used to guide people as an invader in dark souls 2, in the gutter.
Iāve mentioned it before, Iāll mention it again. No matter how genuine you are about overseeing collective community data, youāre not an associate of Illfonic, therefore they can not trust your results.
We could have all taken it, thousands of us, but how do we, or Illfonic, know if you just typed whatever you wanted in your summary? Unfortunately, it doesnāt really matter what answer you try to provide, the fact still remains.
If this was confirmed to be sanctioned by Illfonic to where we knew they were going to review your results, this would be a very helpful system.
If you open up the actual questionnaire/ survey on google forms then you will see the results for yourself.

Youāre being paranoid. The results were not tampered with. They actually make alot of sense. Did you even open google forms once to look? Or open the PDF document? You know the summary I have here are the last 3 pages of 40 pages of screenshots from google forms right?
The main reason why it doesnt matter is not because this data is not valid. it is because either the developers are lazy or stupid or both.
I would be happy for the developers to run their own survey, but it seems they are too busy putting out the fire to respond or coordinate anything.
I thought the survey was pretty comprehensive but it was obviously not taken seriously,
And unfortunetly the other things wer left out and their own unnecessary changes added and now i think we are in worse shape then before.
Yo you should tweet at illfonic and try and get them to understand that the results of a survey like this would help alot with balancing and making the majority of people happy. And that they should make a way for ppl to be able to go to the survey through an in game link.
Cause your survey was really good, I wish more people realized this would be a good way to balance.
Things arenāt as bad as they were when that survey started. Patch 1.06 fixed a lot of the issues that I personally hadā¦

Weaker knife.
parry is annoying, but not broken. If you donāt want parried shoot them with ranged weaponsā¦ The knifes actual problem is the damage. It still hits stupid hardā¦ -
More stealth.
The Pred is too easy to see from far away. -
More steath 2: The āwhy the hell am i so loud?ā boogaloo.
Seriously though, the pred is a silent assassin able to sneak up on foolsā¦
Just going from the first film alone. The pred had been stalking Dutchās team sense the big action scene. Billy(the professional tracker) was the only one that noticed, and even he wasnāt sureā¦
Hell, in the third act, the Predator accidentally snuck up on Dutch and Dutch was EXPECTING the Predā¦
so yeah, the loud-ass noises, is dumbā¦ the bulk of the sounds you hear the Ped making in the movie were pred side only, like the Wooshing of his vision changing that was a sound in within the Preds helmet that no one else ever claimed to hearā¦ -
Fix the Plasma Caster and Grenade Launcher.
The āFixā the Devs gave them in Patch 1.06 wasnāt neededā¦
To summarise the points:
-Predator: buff everything
-FT: nerf everything
Sorry, but this is not a proper way to balance this game.
Especially when you consider that the game has only recently become playable and many people havenāt really gotten used every mechanic yet.
If Illfonic would balance like this, nobody would play FT anymore. Have fun with the 999+ h waiting times as Pred.
Well to be fair, Dutch and his crew didnāt knew what they were up against. An alien hunting and stalking them with stealth technology.
The FT on the other hand seems to be way better prepared based on the intel from Dutch. They also know how to defuse the bombā¦

Level 100 predator main who wins most matches here.
I think the approach taken to get feedback was done pretty well. However, the summarized changes would cause some massive imbalance as it is catering to clueless predators. Playing as a predator has a learning curve and those changes would make him far too powerful once people begin to learn how to properly play the part.
Itās a giant list of buffs to the predator and nerfs to the fire team which would never work out well. If those changes were implemented I can guarantee predators like me will go from winning most matches to slaughtering FTs to the point where it just isnāt challenging at all anymore.

I assume this is about the results of the Survey and not my post. Considering the only āNerfā i suggested was less knife damage, Without touching the Parry mechanicā¦
That and iām trying to give you your āExplode on Impactā Grenade launcher backā¦ lol
The thing about the Survey is Yes, this was taken from the community, so that give it more credit than just the opinions of 1 possibly bias player, but also, this is survey was taken prior to Patch 1.06, so most of this information is based off an out dated build and no longer pertinentā¦
If the Pred would have been THIS LOUD, the movie would have been a lot shorterā¦

I am glad Illfonic took a more gentle approach.
Maybe the Pred is so loud because heās put on a lot of weight? No wonder with the rich wild boar buffet, which is always available to him in this game. ;)
And most Pred-related movies would have been much shorter if people had known about the Preds. :D

This is excellent!! This appears to be very logical and rational.
So what we think is creepy Pred noises, is in-fact Bacon Fartsā¦
As a FT/Support main I had to leave some of the pred questions blank (as I havent played a single game of pred) but I had been as reasonable as possible when giving my answers on the rest of the questions from my own views as how the pred fares against me.
The majority of it is that a few minor things for the pred needs to be improved and some of the FT things need to be nerfed, I have been fairly lenient to the pred with my responses but I get the feeling that if I gave the slight buffs to someone who is really competent with the pred then I will be even lucky to escape.
Escape to me in this is like a draw, neither side got what they want but neither died, if one side kills the other then that to me is a win. Obviously theres varying degrees of success, pred could have killed 3 FT and one escapes (that to me sounds like a pred win) and the flipside, pred arms bomb at chopper and team escapes, FT win theoretically.
Anyways my point being more games should end in (varying) draws, dont get me wrong, thats not to say that a win for either side should be impossible but ideally thats where the balance should be.

@JubPred Maybe worth resetting this questionaire after each patch so the numbers arenāt inflated and give a better understanding of the current meta
I havenāt heard any response from the developers after all our work with this. Patch 1.06 made the game worse imo. If I donāt see any effort back from the developers then I really cant be bothered wasting my time trying to help any longer. Feel free to pick it up and make your own questionnaire. Try playing a few rounds as Predator, if the fireteam have the basic skills of spamming parry and strafing your plasmacaster, then youāll be in for fun. goodluck everyone.
Holy crap, thats a great work. But just one question - did you make your conclusion about any buff by majority or just if it is like 60/40? Imo the huge buff to something is only needed when it is like 90/10 percentage for it, otherwise it will destroy the balance at all.
