No, but seriously ;-), just implement what The Isle and DayZsa already have – leaving match early (dead or alive, dose not matter) simply means your character stays in match till the end of it – just not moving if still alive, obviously. He can be killed by AI or players. Problem solved for every one.

@Courier, can you pass this on please? It will save ppl a lot of frustration.

They already do that for the Predator. And it would allow Predators to get claims after someone quits or DCs.

Exactly my point! When doing a long claim on FT - they often quit the game, leaving pred with no xp or kill count. After that rage quit, FT character should stay in preds hand and allow him to finish the animation, pred should get all xp due for this and problem is solved.

This is definitely one of the more common requests, and has certainly been said before.
I also expect it would be rather easy to implement.

I can’t see any downside for having a players entity remaining in the game after they quit/disconnect.
As @aaronBLUEeyes said, the coding is already present for the Predator, not sure why they did what they did for the Fire Team.
